    Nice smaller sized Save On. Friendly helpful staff. Easy parking and so quick to shop there! Great bakery dept. Love a lot of their in-house baked breads and cakes, muffins and cookies are delicious too. Nice deli selection. Love their free run chicken in meat dept. Best chicken I’ve ever eaten! Really like their “ Four for $20” deals.

    Came in to shop and noticed after checkout the discount didn't apply so return to store to ask customer service. They simply ring up the item again and give me the difference and said they didn't remove the discount tag properly. As far as I know Saveonfoods follow the Scanner Price Accuracy Code and need to apply a 10 discount or free item under 10. Employee doesn't seem to know this and I don't feel like annoying a minimum wage worker. This is something your management will need to provide training on. It's not customers fault your price tag was wrong and no one will be happy to return to the store to get a dollar back. They most likely just won't shop here.

    I terms of store layout, selection appearance, cleanliness everything is good. Only thing keeping it from 5 stars is my inability to acquire a "membership" card since December (now March) as they simply don't have any. Was by manager new ones in January, but when I came in February was told they were delayed. As someone on a budget, not being eligible for the "card price" on 90% of stores stock is a serious issue. Buying something for over $10 with a card price of $6 is not a good feeling.

    recently had an exceptional experience at Save-On-Foods Austin and I felt compelled to share it—especially regarding the meat department. I visited the store around 4:30 p.m., and from the moment I approached the meat section, I was genuinely impressed. The Meat Manager greeted me warmly and kindly asked how my day was going before offering assistance. That simple gesture alone set the tone for a very positive interaction. It’s not every day that you encounter such attentive and thoughtful customer service. I was specifically looking for lean ground beef tubes, and without hesitation, he informed me that there were some available in the front bunker as well as additional stock nearby. He didn’t just point in a direction—he confidently explained exactly where I could find them, demonstrating both product knowledge and organization. It was clear that he takes pride in his department and understands his inventory thoroughly. What stood out to me most was his professionalism and dedication to his craft. He appears quite young to be in a management position, which made his confidence, leadership presence, and attention to detail even more impressive. It is refreshing and somewhat rare to see someone of a younger generation demonstrate such a strong work ethic and genuine care for customers. The meat department was clean, well-stocked, and clearly managed with intention and pride. That kind of leadership reflects positively on the entire store. Because of this experience, I will absolutely be returning and will be recommending this location—specifically the meat department—to my friends and family. Excellent customer service, product knowledge, and professionalism make all the difference, and this visit exceeded my expectations. Keep up the fantastic work.
