We visited around noon on a Saturday, and surprisingly, both the oven and proofer were turned off. That was already a clear sign of what was to come. As our subs were being prepared, I zoned out, wondering how I could politely ask for fresher bread. I regret not speaking up and asking for it to be replaced. One of the subs we ordered was a meatball sub, and unfortunately, the meatballs were not fresh. That was disappointing. We also got a cookie, and thankfully, that was the only item that met the standard of being fresh. But the bread? It was clearly from the night before—stale and unworthy of being served, especially when a fresh batch had already been baked for the day. If you’ve already baked fresh bread, why serve the old one? People dine in not just for food, but for the experience. Sadly, that experience is deteriorating fast here. Cleanliness alone won’t make up for poor food quality.
