Do NOT come to this store – worst customer service
If you place an online pickup order here, there is a serious risk that your food will be given to the wrong person by the staff, and no one will take responsibility.
On December 16 at around 9:30 PM, I placed an online pickup order at this location. When I arrived at the store, the employee, Sachini, told me that she had already given my order to someone else. I showed my order confirmation email as proof, but she refused to remake the food and repeatedly insisted that she had “properly confirmed the name.”
I asked to speak directly with the manager, but I was not allowed to. Instead, Sachini contacted the manager herself and told me to email them, which I did immediately while still in the store, attaching my order confirmation email. Despite this, I received no response.
While waiting, I noticed two sandwiches sitting on the counter untouched. This made it clear that my order was handed to the wrong person due to poor name verification, yet no attempt was made to correct the mistake.
After Sachini spoke with the manager by phone in front of me, I was told—through her—that the manager would reply to my email. Trusting this, I waited inside the store for some time, expecting a response. However, no email ever arrived. When I asked Sachini, “When will the manager reply? I have been waiting here,” she responded, “It’s already night, so maybe there won’t be a reply.” At that point, I felt completely misled. I had been waiting in the store for no reason, and no one bothered to inform me that a response was unlikely.
What made this even more frustrating was that the manager was clearly aware of the situation, as they were speaking with the employee on the phone while I was present. Choosing not to respond at all—despite knowing a customer was waiting in the store—felt extremely unprofessional and insincere. It gave the strong impression that the manager was simply avoiding responsibility rather than addressing the issue.
I was told “the manager will reply by email,” but more than a week has now passed, and there has been no reply, no apology, and no refund, despite multiple follow-up emails.
I have been a loyal customer of this location for over 10 years. I understand that one customer’s purchase may seem insignificant, but over the years I have consistently supported this store. Despite that long history, this single incident was enough to completely destroy my trust. Trust is lost in a moment, and once it is gone, it cannot be recovered. I will never return to this location.
If I do not receive a proper apology and a full refund, I plan to file a formal complaint with the appropriate consumer protection authority in Canada.
This store demonstrates zero accountability, careless order verification, and a complete lack of respect for customers.
I strongly recommend avoiding this location.
