I paid $7.37 for a small fruit salad (372 kg), and when you look closely at the label, it works out to $19.80 per kg. I went to Superstore right after and bought an even bigger container(476kg) of fresh fruit for only $4.19 just $8.80 per kg. Save-On is charging more than DOUBLE the price for the same thing. What makes this even worse is how much their prices have jumped. When Save-On first opened, their fruit cups were around $5. Now they’re pushing $8–$9 for a single container and the quality has gone downhill. Their fruit almost never seems fresh. It genuinely feels like they’re using old fruit that’s about to expire, because every time I bring one home, it goes bad within a day or two. Meanwhile, the fruit from Superstore actually tastes fresh and lasts almost a full week or more. For the prices Save-On is charging, the quality should be far better. Right now, customers are paying premium prices for old fruit.

The store features fresh pasta, a bakery with mouthwatering cakes, an impressive wine selection, juicy burgers, and of course, all your usual groceries. A posh grocery experience without the posh price tag!
- YCYuet COct 22, 20255.0My favorite store. Have been a customer for 32 years starting from the store @ Pinetree Way, which was a more convenient location esp. for seniors who don't drive. All vegetables and fruits, meat are so fresh, can smell them as soon as I step in the store. Also the $1.49 items occasionally held on a Tuesday is a big hit for us! Current address was previously a Safeway store. Experience with most staff is pleasant. Kids get free fruits by the cake & dessert counter. Would appreciate if they can resume accepting bottle returns for the convenience of the customers. Booking for vaccination can be arranged in store or online.
