I visited the new Buy-Low food market today and was impressed at first by the variety of fresh produce and the overall appearance of the store. It seems like a great addition to the area. However, I experienced an issue at checkout that left me concerned. When the cashier weighed one of my peppers, the price seemed unusually high. I was buying different colored peppers that were listed at the same price per weight, but this particular pepper was almost double the cost of the others. When I questioned it, I realized the scale may not have been cleared properly before weighing it, which could have caused the higher price. Although it may have been an honest mistake, it made me worry whether other items in my shopping were weighed correctly as well. I hope the store can ensure that scales are reset properly before each item is weighed to avoid overcharging customers. With better attention to detail at checkout, the overall experience would be much better.

Mr. Ransom, the Cashier, demonstrated exceptional professionalism and courtesy. He was polite, respectful, and conducted himself in a very decent and professional manner. His positive attitude and excellent customer service are truly commendable. This how customers want to be at place where you are so ready to entertain. Once again Mr. Ransom thank you

I was helped by such a wonderful team one day. First Amir who was bagging my groceries, who even helped me bring them to my car even in the rain. The manager Nikki led her team so well. People smiled, they looked relaxed while being ready to help everyone who looked like they could use help. My first visit showed me how helpful and compassionate the buy low team is. Keep up the great work!

This is the first time I’m leaving a review for a supposed grocery store mainly to help others from wasting their time and money at this place. AVOID THIS PLACE. Fake sales, rude employees and overall a bad experience. Just as you enter, all you see is hugely printed SALES tags on items like toilet paper and soda but as you walk into the isles, you’ll see a bottle of regular shampoo for $18 and the same yogurt that’s $5 in other stores for $12!!! The sales are fake, you MUST have a membership to get the sale prices and they do NOT mention that when you check out, only after you already checked out, paid and then inquired. Fruits and produce are close to expiry and almost rotten with such high prices! You are better off shopping at a luxury grocery store with these prices! This store seems more like a shell business that’s not for consumers, but rather to have a storefront for whatever that’s going on. There was an odd number of Pakistani cookies and Asian soy sauces (3 entire isles?!) There’s only 5 employees, all very cold and rude and the security guard gets uncomfortably close to the shoppers and eyeing everyone down. We bought 5 kiwis and 1 small bottle of hand soap which were both on SALE, but got charged $16 and when asked the cashier, she simply said “I told you if you have the reward card or not, you sad no” with such a stinky attitude in front of other people in the line. And kept on helping other customers without offering to refund or exchange. We will definitely NOT be coming back and will advise everyone to stay away. I have seen the owners reply to all the complaints, only saying you can email the HQ office, without even apologizing or offering any solutions to the numerous complaints the store has gotten in only 5 days of being open!

Buy-Low Foods Pinetree just opened up in Coquitlam, and it is a welcomed addition to the local grocery store scene. The product assortment is a great mix of various ethnic food, baked goods, frozen products and home supplies. The in store shopping experience was great, with lots of space to move around even during Grand Opening Weekend. The employees were courteous and respectful of people’s space. Evening is new, clean, and well stocked. Price is on par with the usual Save-On-Foods pricing with additional deals here and there. The store won me over with some freebie avocados upon check out. I would recommend the store to play fun music, and gift card section to be moved to somewhere else less accessible due to increase in scams. Do check your receipts as pricing was off on one of the items, in which the manager made SPAC easy to apply. Overall, l’d say I would visit again!
