  Won’t ever get here again. Phoned for a takeout. Waited 15 minutes longer than the pick up time. Walked to my vehicle, checked the food and realized they forgot my dip. Walked backed inside, the lady at the counter was on the phone for 5+ minutes, wouldn’t even make eye contact with me. Had to stand around and wait until another staff walked by. Had to eye her down so she’d come talk to me. Told her my dip wasn’t in the bag. She goes in the back. Another 5 minutes later a different staff member walks my dip out. Get home. Some of my fries are still frozen on the tips. I’m talking cold to the touch. Is this restaurant for real? Is your staff meant to be taken seriously? What even is this restaurant? Great first impression. I will definitely be spreading the word.

  Waited 15 minutes from the time we were seated, before we got our drink order. When the food arrived, the plates were hot, but the food was cold. Brisket was overdone, fries were mediocre. No ketchup or salt and pepper on the table and when we did ask for ketchup, we got a tiny container to share between two people. This is our second time here and nothing has improved They need to focus less on the birthday singing (it was the only thing done well) and more on the service and cooking the food properly.

  Had such a great experience here, and honestly a big part of that was the manager Wade and our server Abby. Everyone was super friendly right from the start and made everything comfortable. You can tell when someone actually cares about what they’re doing, and he showed it. They gave really solid recommendations, checked in without overdoing it, and just had a great vibe the whole time. It made the whole meal that much better. Really appreciate the great service. Thank you wade and abby —will definitely be back!

  Extremely disappointing. We made reservations on open table and I got an email from them after indicating we were coded as a no show. Everything from start to finish was wrong. Waited a bit for service so when we got it we put in our drinks, appies and meals. Things that went wrong: 1. Waitress forgot half the drinks and after 10 minutes we had to ask for the other half of the drinks to get them. 2. Appies came out with meals. 3. Meals that came out were not as ordered. 4. Spinach dip pitas were dry and hard. Not crispy deep fried like other Montanas. 5. Had to ask for napkins and ketchup. 6. Asked for take out boxes and waitress brought one for everyone to share. We had to clarify we all needed a box. 7. When we asked for a box waitress thought we ordered a beer. Positives 1. With the exception of the pitas all other food was great tasting. 2. Restaurant has a good vibe. 3. The runners serving the food were excellent. Promote them to servers. Will be a long time before we return if we do.

  Very disappointing. We are long time Montanas customers at many locations across Canada. We were excited to finally go to the recently opened Chilliwack location. We knew it has been very well attended so we reserved and when we arrived we had to wait almost 15 mins to be seated and when we were seated the table had been quickly set up in front of an exit and the table had not been set. Our waitress was initially ok but after our drinks came the service really tanked. When our appys arrived we had to ask for cutlery which came as 2 forks. When our entres arrived I had to go get cutlery from the server station and asked for salt and pepper which launched an extensive search. The kung pow shrimp was way overcooked and very hard to chew through. The brisket I had was mostly fat and I would not recommend it, also the salad came with dressing on the side as requested but the grilled chicken was on a separate plate and barely warm. After we finished eating we needed a take away container but had to go to the front door to ask someone to get a package. After waiting to get our bill and no server coming we left the table and went to front door to ask to pay. In reality it was very clear that we could have just left but that is not who we are. We paid our bill explained we were not happy and left. Finally we received a phone message asking if we were going to honour our reservation, amazing. It is truly amazing that it is possible for a place to stay open with this kind of service I syspect it will be closing in the near future.
