  Western Family frozen mango had a blue foreign piece in it, which looked like plastic tarp, about 4 mm squared . Save-On foods didn’t seem concerned even though they gave me a refund. There didn’t seem to be any reporting procedure. Now I’m wary about eating their frozen food. I check their fruit pieces before I eat them. I am now eating Western Family broccoli and cauliflower from frozen, and it tastes like mold, but I’m not sure whether the taste is from that or the soy sauce I put in it. I’m disappointed that they got rid of their flexible plastic recycling collection bin.

  I'm giving this particular Save-on a 4 star review ONLY because of the lovely staff. There's always some one to happily help with finding items. Other than that it's pretty much a 2 star: frequently out of common items, poor selection in the bakery, not much in the way of fresh produce, and a shocking lack of anything other than typical North American products. Where's the lemon grass, for example? Various types of soy sauce?

  My daughter and I went for $1.49 day yesterday. The staff there was amazing. I ended up spending $84.44 and saving $85!!! One of the guys in produce came up and gave my daughter a free orange and banana! I don’t know if this is something all save on do, But I noticed while shopping they have a basket of fresh fruit free for kids! What an amazing idea! The woman that checked me out was super kind! What a great experience.

  The staff here are horrible Ive given this place a few chances always kinda condescending and rude. I love save on foods but not at the price of these folks here in the grove they almost appear like helping us a disservice to them Thats part of the job Always a dirty look. Or a mean scowl never has viable helpful solutions just oh well too bad it’s like walking into a dead zone it lacks zest and customer care 2-10 at best
