  The mini taco salad shell tasted nasty. Either fried in old dirty grease or it was tainted with something. Ended up pulling everything out of shell to eat.

  They're supposed to be open till 2 am on weekends but the drive thru screen is off by 1 am usually and theyll hide from view so that people think they're closed when they pull up to a dark screen and no answer on the speaker. They're open they just hope that by not answering the customer will assume they're closed and leave. Sometimes theyll answer and say some lie about the system rebooting or having difficulties or even just say that they're closed.

  I remember Taco Bell in the 1970s, they had the stone walk ups with outside dining on little fixed booths. There was only one kind of sauce offered, and it came in a little plastic cup with enough sauce for an entire item and it was actually hot. The first thing you would notice walking up was the unmistakable smell of real food. It was my favorite fast food growing up and I continued to go through the 80’s but as the 90s approached, it became obvious that the taste and quality was steadily going downhill. I decided to give it a try today and revisit my youth. I got my signature dish, crunchy tacos add sour cream and onions. From the first bite, it was obvious how far we had fallen. It was difficult to fathom how void of flavor they were, even with the tiny sauce packet with hardly enough sauce for one bite. I looked down at my wrapper and saw some lettuce, onions, and cheese so I decided to investigate further. The cheese tasted not remotely like cheese and I swear to you If I closed my eyes I could not tell the difference between the onions and the lettuce. I felt sorry for the young people that would never be able to experience the Taco Bell of the 70s and I thought of the corporate shills who chose profits over quality around every turn. I will not be back.
