I don’t know what’s wrong with the Sonic lately I would go to it all the time in the past and I never had any issues with them but over the last month they have just been messing up in different ways.
The first incident I ordered a Dr Pepper with no ice so then I get the drink. I start driving home. I take a sip mid drive and I noticed that it doesn’t taste like Dr Pepper. It taste like Diet Coke and I even smelt it to see if maybe my taste buds are off because Dr Pepper has a very distinct smell to it and it didn’t smell like Dr Pepper so then I go back and I explained to them what happened and they didn’t ask me what size my drink was or anything about the ice so I assumed that they were probably just gonna ask me at the window I get to the window. They immediately handed me the drink and it’s just full of ice, but it’s with Dr Pepper finally so at that point I just ended up going to the other sonic in Yuma and just placing an order because I was just like forget about it.
My friend, a week later DoorDashed a Dr Pepper and hers also just taste like Diet Coke so I don’t know if maybe they’re not properly cleaning their soda lines or if they’re just being careless and just giving Diet Coke but the fact that it happened on two different occasions and not even same time it just makes me wonder
The second incident happened today and honestly, it really rubbed me off the wrong way and after that, I realized that I will never go to that sonic again so I ordered a Dr Pepper with no ice and I got it with sweet cream and vanilla. I get my drink and I kid you not 3 inches of soda was just gone so then I went through the drive-through I explained to them what happened the girl then proceeded to tell me that sweet cream makes it foam up and essentially she was just trying to say that there’s nothing she can do about it. So then I told her that I understood however I get that drink quite a lot (when I’m craving something sweet I elevate my Dr Pepper like that) and every time I get it it’s completely full so then she started to argue with me trying to prove a point about the sweet cream and then she was like I’ll just give you a small cup of Dr Pepper so then she gave it to me and I filled that small cup into my route 44 and it perfectly filled up my drink no extra soda was left over so quite literally. I was missing a small cup worth of soda and she claimed that there was nothing she can do.
I don’t know if there’s a new management at that sonic or if all the good employees just left but honestly to whoever is reading this please go to the sonic on Pacific Avenue that one is so much better they make your drinks correctly. They are fast and they are kind this sonic on Avenue B is the complete opposite and if you wanna waste your money then go to the Sonic on Avenue B, but if you want great service, go to sonic on Pacific Avenue.

Love Sonic but the one on Avenue B always has problems with their app and with their online stuff. Or their slush machine will be broken or they won't have ice cream. There's always something wrong wish they could get it together.

In any establishment mistakes happen and I was charged twice and even though it was an honest mistake that could literally happen anywhere. Lesley a manager there took time to refund me and not only refund me the money that was over charged but she also was very polite and respectful in process. Even though it wasn’t an outrage amount. I thought it worth of sharing.
