Been going to El Charro since I was a young girl. I'm 68 years old and have never had anything there that was not excellent! You can never go wrong with El Charro! Thanks to all of the amazing waitresses! All of them are top notch. Tell Inez that I miss her! 🙂

This place was packed! The staff handled it like champs. So polite and respectful even when a customer was not very nice. The food is always awesome. My Yuma comfort food place.

Great ol' hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant. Loved by locals and travelers passing through. The food is traditional Mexican-American fare and there's definitely something you're going to like on the menu. The atmosphere and exceptional staff (Gaby is amazing) are timeless. It could be 1949 like when the place opened or today, and it feels like you belong no matter where you're from.

Go for their handmade flour tortillas and flavorful chiles! After navigating the maze of road blockages and running across the towns Christmas parade with 4 dogs in tow we finally made it here in time to order a meal before they closed. My partner was skeptical after all that but we went for it and are happy we did! The order: 2 Chile relleno plates to go (1 small version with only 1, the other the full plate with 2). The full size plate comes with a tortilla (get it!). The breakdown: * Tortillas: the giant thin yet soft and chewy kind. Fresh. Handmade there obviously. Elevates the whole dish * The Chile relleno: chile itself is flavorful. The lighter green Anaheim peppers possibly but with a vibrant sweet and acidicity. The actual breading and cheese was nothing special but pulled along by the chile * Rice and beans: nothing special but flavorful! Beans are on the salty side * Salsa: not the kind I'm used to. It's just a red sauce that tastes very tomato-y. Comes packed on Styrofoam to go plates. No pretentiousness. Generous portions the single Chile relleno plate was plenty for me (and I'm a big eater). A side note: the tap water there tastes... Interesting. Possibly because it's hard water and/or chlorinated. Would probably avoid that unless you're used to it
