  I am writing to share my deep appreciation for Leyla at Safeway #1874 (6360 E Golf Links Rd). On March 20, 2026, I visited late at night—just 15 minutes before closing—desperately searching for cough syrup, honey, and milk for my daughter who was sick while we were on vacation. Leyla was incredibly kind and understanding. She didn't just help me find the items; she shared helpful advice, like using baking soda for a throat rinse. Her compassion during such a stressful time meant the world to me. Safeway is lucky to have an employee who cares this much. Please make sure this reaches her manager and is added to her professional record! Safeway stores need more caring employees like Leila!

  Unfortunately its the only grocery store in town. Their prices are very inflated, unless you shop the deals. You have to log into the app to clip all the deals individually. You dont get the discounts for having a member card alone you have to clip them, some have to be scanned in store to add to your account. Better hope your phone is charged if you want to save money. And if you clip deals in store before checking out they have to scan your phone not just enter in your number because the system wont register what you clipped (its delayed). Their deli doesn't sanitize their surfaces in between making different items, and refuse to when you ask due to having an allergy. Deli Manager told us to just shop somewhere else. We had to stop buying anything from the deli because even the donuts get contaminated with coconut and they don't sell coconut donuts. The only reason they get 2 stars is because the staff on the floor is always helpful if you need to find something and because they offer a veteran discount on the 15th of each month. They also offer a day for seniors too, but im not sure which one.

  I dont see why they cant keep up with the fried chicken when its on sale. Quite simple, your getting low start making more. Who runs this place? 3-20-2026

  To Safeway today March 14th at 5:45 p.m. I wasn't lying like the rest of the customers the worker turns around and told him I'm going to give him half of cash and half with my bank card he turns around and counters my grocery order I had to get back in line wait for my turn that wasn't my fault that was the workers fault I explained it to him half of it my bank card and have it with cash I do not want to use all my $100 bill the grocery bill was $75 he turns your own takes my $100 bill after I told him I wanted to pay with cash and card his name was his name was Jose the worker I've been going to this Safeway for 5 years and I spend thousands of dollars I would never put my foot in the store ever again

  I'm sick and had to drive up safeways to get some 7Up my niece who has recently become blind was with me and I couldn't make it into the store so I called customer service and told him to watch out for my niece and they helped her get the 7Up and make it through the line thank you
