  Their food is really good but it’s really long wait for a small party and it’s really small. I recommend for them to find a bigger location. I still love it here. I will be coming here just a little longer wait and it takes a little bit for them to just get you started out with some drinks.

  We are visiting from San Diego and chose Humo Cocina based on the reviews. I'm not sure what others are comparing this place to, but it is extremely cramped, their four top tables are no where close to being an appropriate size for four people, the tables are all way too close making you feel like you're invading another party's space, the food was bland, and they didn't have basic Mexican food staples. We ordered salsa and guacamole. Apparently, they don't have salsa. What kind of Mexican food place doesn't have salsa?! We should have walked out then. I was shocked. I ordered a carne asada steak, rare for my daughter and was asked if I wanted one or two tacos. Neither. I want carne asada steak, something we order regularly at restaurants back home even if it's not explicitly on the menu, because how else do they make carne asada for anything if they don't start with a steak? What we got was a plate of chopped up, charred, fatty meat that my daughter refused to touch. The guacamole was missing key flavors salt, lime, and garlic, and tasted mostly of onions. I ordered a carne asada burrito. It was bland and included a bunch of extra ingredients like beans and rice and I'm not sure what else, but it was not a classic carne asada burrito. The extras were all listed above the burrito section, so I figured I give them the benefit of the doubt. Even with the extras, it still lacked flavor and had to be doused in hot sauce. My mom wanted fajitas but this was another missing staple from the menu. She ended up with the rolled tacos which were overcooked and the meat lacked any kind of seasoning or flavor. The rice was also bland and extremely soft. My other daughter ordered a bean and cheese burrito, which was adequate. I would not recommend Humo at all. You're better off finding a drive through Mexican place.

  This place came up on Google for Mexican food and we definitely enjoyed the experience. It is very small but they have tables on the inside and outside which we didn't feel crammed at all. The menu is simple but everything we ordered was great! The flavor of the salsa, guacamole, and our main course was great. The presentation of the food made it just as good as it looked. I ordered a margarita and it was at a very good price point and tasty. We will definitely come back.

  Decided to give Humo a second chance because although the service is extremely slow the food was good. Last night the bartender swept the floor while we were sitting waiting on our drinks. It was 7pm so she wanted to go home?! Not my problem if you are working customer is first. Our waiter was super nice but the food took forever. Second round of drinks bartender sitting counting her money and looking at her phone. Again placing customers second. A man walked in a stood there and she didn’t even acknowledge him. Bartender didn’t wash her hands after sweeping and just prepared drinks with dirty hands. Music from the kitchen was blasting so loud it was unbelievable. Doubt very much that we will return or even recommend to friends service this poor. Shame because it easily could be a wonderful spot with better attention to detail and prioritizing customers. Visit was March 29,2026 around 7pm if management cares to look into this issues.

  Friendly Staff. Ordered: Bacon-Avocado Burrito w/rice n bean combo. The tasty Burrito was well put together, with fresh ingredients, and priced around $12. The combo rice and beans part of the order added an additional $7.50 to the total...which wouldn't have been terrible if the portion would've been a pint, however half-pint containers that were only 2/3 filled were rather disappointing for the extra cost. There is a drive-thru, however...assuming you haven't pre-ordered online, you'll drive past the menu and order at the window, yet this is NOT FAST FOOD - so expect a bit of a wait while your order is freshly prepared. Will visit again.
