He told me I was useless just because I asked for help since I have plates and screws in my neck and needed assistance carrying the order to my car. He said I had to pay for that service and kept asking me questions about how I was going to deliver it to the customer. That's not his problem; it's DoorDash's problem. My customers and DoorDash always help to ensure good service, but this manager told me he didn't have any employees to help me. One employee offered to help, and he prevented him from doing so. I don't understand how such a large company can have someone who refuses to help. I just wanted to provide good service. The employees wanted to handle the order when it's DoorDash that makes all the decisions about their orders, since the customer pays and they only pack the items. This world is messed up. I was wearing my "My Puerto Rico" scarf, and that's why he discriminated against me and treated me badly, telling me I wasn't fit to do this job. He's not the one to tell me what I should or shouldn't do; that's unethical. His duty was to find someone to help me. How despotic can a person be just for being American? What does he gain from treating people badly? It angered me to see such injustice. I come from a family of merchants, I worked in supermarkets in Puerto Rico for years, and it feels good to help others, but this man, this Dalton... he's absolutely terrible! A person who provides public service and is a manager shouldn't treat anyone like that. DoorDash has already taken action, and I, with my evidence, have taken mine! So, if you need help with a purchase, YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THE SERVICE!!!!! RIDICULOUS!!!!!
