I went to Amelia's Mexican Restaurant for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere that they exhibited there. We were greeted promptly and didn't have to wait long in order to be seated. Our server, Oscar, was kind and exceptional for making our time there special. Their Carne Asada nachos - nacho cheese and guacamole (pictured below) were to die for... The refried beans had a smoky chili powder taste that reminded me of my vacation in Mexico just a few years prior. Other Mexican restaurants give tortilla chips that are rushed and still soggy with the oil they're fried in, not so here... Here I'm proud to say that they're golden and crunchy. I remember trying out the nachos and thinking to myself... These need limes. So I asked Oscar and he immediately got some limes and a lemonade refill. Would definitely look forward to going there again!

Me and my husband decided to try some of the breakfast burritos from Amelia’s last week. I got the ham and potatoes and my husband got the Machaca, which was highly recommended and we were very disappointed. The machaca was so dry and burnt, we could not even chew it, my husband just ended up throwing the whole thing out because it wasn’t edible. The ham and potatoes burrito was okay though it wouldn’t be too hard to mess that up. Unfortunately this was our first experience and most likely will not be going back.

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The atmosphere in there was calm and cool. The menu was jam packed with food that I wanted to try. I only had the time and space to try out the quesabirria this time but darn it was so delicious. The broth was on point, so I highly recommend getting that with the tacos. The margs were fresh and delicious. I tried the mezcal and the house strawberry. My bartender, Rodrigo, was awesome. I really enjoyed chatting it up with him too. He was a very down to earth gentleman. I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I've bookmarked this place as one of my top favorites in Tucson. Will be coming back here every chance I get. What a great find! šŸ™ŒšŸ½

Amazing lunch at Ameliaā€˜s on Veterans Day to celebrate my marine husband. Met Jose the owner, he was very lovely. Diana and the rest of the staff were amazing. Everything was delicious. We had the shrimp ceviche, which was the best I have had in a very long time. We had the birria enchiladas with the madre mole and green poblano sauce, which you just cannot miss out on. My husband had a sampler platter with an enchilada, taquito and tamale, which was just as amazing. Pick your own salsas. You won’t be disappointed.

I began ordering Ameliaā€˜s off Doordash. I ordered the normal stuff from them first like tacos, chimis, and ceviche. I had never had a quesobirria taco before. I got it and was hooked. Ate it 3 days in a row and then the next week lol. We had a team meeting and a lot of my team is from the Southside, but we’re up here working at Swan and Sunrise. I told them you don’t have to go all the way to the Southside to get good food. Check out Amelias. They like it. It’s my new Mexican food spot. I went to Ameliaā€˜s restaurant on Grant and it’s actually a really nice place. It has the vibe of a small upscale bistro. it’s small inside, but it has a beautiful outdoor patio with seating and the decor is very nice. There’s a great place to go and meet some of your friends to catch up or take somebody on a date. Casual dress is fine.
