- CCCailin4 days ago2.0Cashier rejected my manufacturer coupon for Marlboro cigarettes that I wasted my rewards on. They need to remove themselves from the list of approved merchants so customers can’t select that specific Safeway store from the list, click to redeem the coupon and then lose it. Marlboro assumes that their partner merchants always accept their digital coupons, and it is the customer’s loss if they do not accept it once redeemed for that specific store.

The cashier that was overseeing self checkout dropped what she was doing and hovered over us like we were gonna rob the place and she was super woman.. We felt so uncomfortable. They had a sale going on the soda but 2 get 2 well I thought it was buy 3 get 3 so I had 6 cases of soda and since I was wrong I asked her to take it off and she was rude and tried to make us look like we were stupid saying you only have 4 so why would I need to take 2. I said nicely no we have 6. She then continued to hover over us and at the end I had some cheese and lunch meet. I scanned the cheese and decided I didn’t want it cuz it wasn’t on sale so I handed her the meat and cheese and she goes u didn’t even scan the meat so u weren’t gonna pay for that. If I was gonna steal it why would I give it back and she was right I didn’t scan the meat because I didn’t want it. She then embarrassed us and said this register is locked up so I need to scan u at the register. I’m not stupid that’s what they do when they know someone is shoplifting. I was so humiliated I walked away from the cart, left, and reported her to corporate. I’m sure she will get away with it and continue to treat customers this way. Horrible employee!!!
