  Bro I love this portillo's hands down the best one yesterday our cashier aaron went above beyond and told us exactly how the coupons worked with our orders and what we needed on there bundles, when we were visiting from Chicago. He made us feel at home and things right for my wife kids I!. Keep it up

  Stop by there today went to the drive-thru the drive-thru worker recommended I think it's called an Italian beef with sweet peppers and grilled onions really good and then I had their chicago-style hot dog country recommended the chocolate cake and the desert was very good

  I am a Chicago native and I grew up eating Portillos regularly...I moved to LV 8 years ago and it had probably been about 9 years since I had their food so when my family and I went into pheonix area we stopped and ordered a ton of food for the friends we were visiting locally. I was so excited to have their beef, au jus, cheese fries, giardenara and chocolate cake shake, but was sadly disappointed in everything except the cheese fries. The beef was dry and almost flavorless, not much fat, which is where the flavor comes from, and the au jus was very watery instead of the rich fatty flavor I remember as a child...the giardenara was okay, except when I asked them I was so disappointed to hear it was made with vegetable oil instead of traditional olive oil 😡...the chunks were very small and tasted synthetic. My husband felt the same way and added the cheese sauce from his fries to the beef to add more flavor. The cake shake used to have chunks of moist flavorful cake and now it just is a few crumbs added in. They are taking shortcuts and it shows. Sadly, I dont think I will EVER return as my memories didnt line up with reality on this. My friends also felt the same (as chicago natives as well). Save yourself the money and go grab a burger at in-n-out for a fresh and inexpensive treat (pro tip: they'll also melt some cheese on some fries for you).

  The food is great, the only issue is that certain kids that work there don't take the time to read the orders completely, for instance, more times than I can count I asked for my beef sandwich to be heavily dip but they lightly dip it, I'll ask for lite jalapenos and they pile it on, and it's always a different kid🤷.. And two certain kids (1 male & 1 female) likes to play and crack jokes more than calling your order number which will have you unnecessarily waiting for your food. Other than that the place stays clean, even the restroom. A large eating area so there's always a table even on those very busy days.

  Was very disappointed in the Italian Beef sandwich dipped in special gravy ?? No flavor at all and extra for cheese and extra for peppers. Which I didn't mind paying for if you would have put more than 3 peppers on it !! For being a most ordered item, my opinion is to remove the item all together. Also why so chimpy on the fries?🤷‍♂️ Do they suddenly cost $1000 a pound?😡
