  Reading the reviews on here it seems like I might have gotten an unusual experience because it was mid at best 😕 My experience there: Friday night, I took a friend visiting from out of town and another local friend. They were not busy at all and were out of a ton of different things... basic ones like nigiri, sashimi, kiwi (on one of the rolls), salt foam for the drinks. A little bummer but if the food is good and they run out cause people want so much then it was my fault for being there a little after the normal dinner time. I didnt think they were understaffed that night but it took a decent bit longer than I expected. The ambience was fine but also there were some smudged walls around some of the pipes and utilities running along the upper walls which is not a big deal but trying to paint a picture for you that this was not somewhere super classy -- I might still take a date their for a hole in the wall vibe pending the food was awesome... however I cannot say that either 🥲 side note that didnt bother me but we did family style sushi and they gave us all disposible utensils and plates to eat with. Maybe they dont expect people to do family style dining but just a note if you want to share sushi like that, disposible eating ware is what you will be using. Now the food... The dumpling appetizer I ordered was boiled potsticker dumplings probably right from the frozen package. Partially expect frozen dumplings so that is ok. They tasted fine but usually restaurants at least brown them before serving. Served with a szechuan dipping soy they were still just ok. The wings were actually pretty good. Didn't love the sauce I ordered but the crispness of the breading was awesome. Sushi was fine, nothing special. The spicy crunchy tuna roll was by far the best. Overall, a whole lot of like, this is unexpected in a bad way with maybe a good wings review to push back on my stance here. I just felt like most of the experience and food was mediocre. Would not recommend for dining. Maybe Boba is better and that is the reason for all the high reviews I see?

  HOW IS THIS NOT MORE POPULAR??? I have been over here a few times but never seen it before! My husband found it and wanted to try it for a date after I did bloodwork and it was PERFECT!!! I got the General Chicken and my husband got the Curry Katsu, and the staff were so kind they shared a roll with us pro Bono which was unexpected and just kind (goes to show how warm and amazing the staff can be!) The flavors first and then I gotta talk about the staff haha BUT OMG, this is honest to god just good cooking. It doesnt try to punch you in the face with tastes, the dishes simply MASTER what they serve. For example my husband's curry had amazing flavors- and the chicken was selected to absorb that amazing flavor. The fry on it was perfectly crispy while still absorbing the broth and that just elevated the whole dish! My general chicken was also awesome, perfectly fried perfectly salted, and the glaze over the top brought just enough sweetness to balance the spicy peppers and elevate the onion flavor! Finally the sushi roll? I dont know if the tuna is mixed with mayo? But I do know i could ACTUALLY enjoy the fish- and I normally dont put ginger on sushi (snacking on it as a pallet cleanser after) but with this roll? It made the fish more of a satisfying smooth flavor. I also normally dont like wasabi, I think thos might be REAL wasabi (and if not its still better than the stuff I normally get most of the time they make the horse reddish a bit much). Point is food was amazing Today it was a 2 man team, an amazing cook working the back creating those gorgeous flavors, and a front staff worker who was super kind and helpful. He had a great attitude overall and was super helpful, sharing menus and letting us take our time. There are ordering windows but honestly? I think the staff make the experience and it was a lot more pleasant knowing he could tell us what dishes were and give recommendations too (we didnt get any this time but next time oh we are asking about favorites) it was amazing So yes PLEASE check this restaurant out its amazing!
