Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customers praised the burgers and sides for being fresh and delicious, but there were complaints about undercooked fries and inconsistent breakfast quality.

It took 40 minutes to get a burger and fries and a kids chicken strip. Was the most bland tasting whataburger I've ever had in my life. NEVER will come back to this location.

Ordered a bacon cheeseburger and it came with absolutely no bacon. They asked how much I wanted and ended up giving me none instead. There was 4 tiny chunks of onion on the burger, 1 tomato, and 1 pickle. The chocolate shake I ordered also tasted like Nyquil. I assume the Blackberry flavoring got mixed in with the chocolate flavoring for the shake, but it was gross.

Whataburger is one of my go-to spots for a quick and consistent meal. The burgers are better than most other places for the price, and everything is made fresh without taking too long. It’s a great option when you just want a solid burger without overpaying. Also, their sodas are usually spot on with the mix. Half the time I go to other burger places, the drinks are either completely flat or way too fizzy, but Whataburger almost always gets it right.
