Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

    Ordered a Whatachick'n Salad and the chicken was not added to salad. I've had this happen at other locations as well. I'm not sure what it looks like on their side when we order from app, but I selected chicken.

    Management here needs to step it up. The food is great (save my fries, which were served lukewarm.) but the dining facility is not kept up to par. Food is half the game, someplace nice to eat it is totally missing here. I had to ask the staff to wipe my table down. There are presently 6 customers in the dining room. There are half a dozen tables that have not been cleaned. The drink station needs attention. In the whole place there is one, just one— empty napkin dispenser. I’m talking fries on the floor counters I wiped. The men’s room trash can is overflowing with paper towels. Chairs are pulled out from the tables. It looks like chaos. There’s a packed of sugar lying in the middle of the floor in front of the drink station. I have watch the same employee walk over it six or seven times. I’m looking at an exit door that is dirty with fingerprints. Windows smudged. Just little signs that the MANAGEMENT is not paying attention to their store. The place is employing many people in their teens who need training. Again, management issue. I’m watching people walk to a table they’d like to sit at and then pivot and walk to a different table because it hadn’t been cleaned since the last customer left it. The worst part is this location is just a couple months old, being a big Whataburger fan. I guess I’ll give it a few weeks and come back.

    My first trip here was a disaster, as my food took far longer than normal. The manager was apologetic, stating that they were a new store, staffed by new trainees. I decided to give it another shot a week later, and it was PERFECT. I salute the staff and management on ironing out the wrinkles in their processes, and recommend this store highly!!!
