  I've lived in SCW for 8 years. Safeway gets 95% of my business. I have gone to Fry's on a rare occasion but only when I can't find what I need at Safeway. There are two cashiers that are wonderful....one, Julie is down to part time but she is so pleasant and kind. Judy, a newer cashier, is going to be just like Julie. She is very kind as well. However, I've seen others completely berate some people because they couldn't navigate the app. And yes, I've addressed it right then and there. My biggest complaint is the way seniors are treated by most of the staff (many are young "kids"). Younger seniors are pretty tech savvy and know how to navigate the apps and coupons. However, many of the elderly don't know the difference between a sale, a digital coupon that has to be clipped or other sale prices. I realize Safeway corporate controls these ads but dear God if an elderly person can't figure out how to clip the coupon on their app or heaven forbid they don't even have a smart phone, JUST GIVE THEM THE ITEM AT THE SALE PRICE. Soon enough you will have senior adults that all know how to navigate smartphones. But for now can you just show some kindness and grace? Then, this evening, I went to the store to get quarters for my grandkids and was told they can't give out a roll of quarters due to "inventory" WHAT? I'm taking my business back to Walmart unless it's an emergency item I just can't watch the lack of customer service, and lack of kindness any more. Gee, Safeway.....maybe consider going outside the box to help seniors. You weren't like this when we moved here. Just so sad.

  A group of nice octogenarian ladies standing outside in the heat wondering why there are no carts. I wondered that too. No hand baskets either. But no employees around to ask. I bundled my items into my arms awkwardly as I stood at the crowded checkout lines. At least at the self checkout they had a full selection of tiny overpriced liquor bottles right next to the snickers bars. This place must be managed by some real winners. Class all the way. Good job.

  Do better Safeway .. last weeks pickup eggs broken and old date on my chicken . Today’s pickup chicken seal broken chicken exposed and rotten pears all brown spots and mushy bag of avocados . Total waste ! Not happy !

  What happened to excellent customer you had . People on floor who could help. Now a ghost town on floor . Thank goodness there are tall customers to help. Being going in for 3 years . 2 weeks ago during manager meeting no help. Had to go to customer service told they were in managers meeting could not help ,also long lines. Asked was told they are cutting hours during the busy time of year. Today never found anyone in Starbucks, but Dutch Bros is great. I have been using grocery pick up where Connor is awesome because there is never help anymore. Today I had too much to purchase . Today went to check after I gave up trying to locate product. Looked at app no longer say which aisle. Line when I reached fron 3 open and shelf checkout. Guy on 3. Saw woman pixie hair cut older just standing . Asked her if she could please call for help she statedcno managers should be watching. I then called store waited for customer service to answer and asked for help. 3 closed said he was told too. Had to move to 4 that just and stand in line again. Finally get up the open, stated someone told him to. Who does he help people that got after we stood in 2 line waiting. I saw Jody who I gave a pack of Tillamook mildew cheese left in cheese section for people to buy. Asked her about and asked should all customers leave baskets. She does not care. She said it wasn't 20 minutes .IT WAS BECAUSE I WAS IN THE LINE. I called store for help for the lines. I saw no one on the floor at all to help . And why would I lie how long I stood in line. The cashier that helped me is always . Was told manager left couple of weeks ago. I heard they were closing safeways. Do you guys want our business or not. ??????? I have spent a lot of money in this store.
