  Dishes are ok except the baby eel. The baby eel is way too salty and tastes like over boiled salty noodle with no texture. The cost of the dish maybe high but the value it brings to customer definitely cannot justify its price tag.

  Well went in at around 3pm on a Thursday no wait at all, very clean, very welcoming atmosphere. Perfect place for a night out, date night, or just a nice lunch/dinner. Best crema Catalans I’ve had in my life. I’m new to paellas but this one will be hard to beat, everything was very fresh and flavorful. The chef has a lot of range when it comes to any sort of flavor pallet and the staff is amazing except service Denzel will be my waiter from now on when I come here exclusively because of just the outstanding service.

  Went on a busy Saturday night. The tapas were okay. The paella not the best. My server kept trying to make jokes and be friendly, but his brand of friendliness didn't sit right with me. I asked what drinks they had that were non-alcoholic, and he laughed and said "water" in a way that felt condescending to me. I said, "Okay, I'll have water then," and he backtracks, saying they have more than just water. Same thing with ordering anything, and this behavior was directed only at me, not at any of the other four women with me. It was constant banter like this, and it got old really fast. The saving grace was the flamingo dancer and band. They were amazing!

The patio is an absolute vibe, especially in the evening, with just the right mix of relaxed and upscale. Now let’s talk about the real star of the show: the food. Every dish we ordered was dialed in. Too many tapas to list! The tapas came out perfectly timed, each plate more addictive than the last. Bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and that “just one more bite” effect that turns into five. You can tell there’s real passion behind the menu—it’s not just cooking, it’s craft. The service? Top-tier. Attentive without hovering, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. Our server made great recommendations and kept everything flowing effortlessly, which is exactly what you want when you’re sharing plates and drinks. Speaking of drinks… don’t skip them. Whether it’s sangria or a cocktail, they know what they’re doing behind the bar. Side note personal favorite is the sangria! May or may not have ordered a pitcher... This is the kind of place you go for a date night, bring friends from out of town, or just treat yourself because you feel like living a little. It hits that perfect sweet spot between fun and elevated. Scottsdale has a lot of restaurants—but Tapas Papa Frita stands out. We’ll absolutely be back. Probably sooner than we should.

The waitstaff were courteous, attentive, and genuinely friendly, making us feel welcome throughout the evening. The menu offers a unique and delightful blend of culinary flavors, with each dish thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The ambiance is equally impressive, situated right along the River Walk, creating a charming and relaxing setting. We happened to visit on a weekend when they featured live music and Flamenco dancers, which added a vibrant and memorable touch to the evening. Whether you're out for a date night, celebrating with your spouse, or enjoying time with family, this is a perfect spot for a beautiful and romantic evening. I highly recommend giving it a try!
