  Taj Mahal in Scottsdale is an excellent choice if you are looking for truly authentic and flavorful Indian food. From the moment you walk in, you can tell you’re in the right place — seeing many tables occupied by people of Indian origin immediately gives you confidence that the food is genuine and well prepared. The dishes are absolutely delicious, with rich, well-balanced spices that really transport you to India and make you feel as if you were there. Every bite is full of depth and authentic flavor. The service was also outstanding. A special mention goes to Veronica, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and made my experience even more enjoyable with her warm and professional service. Great food, authentic atmosphere, and excellent attention — highly recommended.

  We absolutely love coming to Taj! The service is always wonderful, and the food is consistently amazing. The owner is truly one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. My son has autism and is a very picky eater, but the moment we say we’re going to Taj, he’s excited and ready to go. He loves the coconut curry, which says everything about how special this place is to us. A big shout-out to our server Freddy as well—he’s fantastic and always makes our visits even better. Thank you for making us feel so welcome every time!

  I’ve waited comfortably here as an Uber delivery person, but I’ve also wanted to try it. It’s a bit pricey for me personally, but well worth it. The food here is so delicious. I did mild medium heat … scared to be overwhelmed. I wasn’t the flavor is so very good even without the spice, but for me I wish I would have gone for medium or hotter even. It’s fresh, it’s flavorful, and it’s delicious. My shrimp were cooked perfectly. Being in the restaurant was very comfortable and there is a large selection of spirits at the bar. A nice and relaxing atmosphere. I myself enjoy Indian song and dance which is obviously playing. Highly recommend. Don’t be scared to go for a little spice… they are scared to spice you too much. Mild medium again has great flavor with very very mild spice. I will be trying medium hot next time! Delicious thank you!

  It’s a good place to fine dine. However, the quality, taste of the food is below par and didn’t meet the expectations. Might as well focus on the quality than the ambience. We ordered Chicken 65, which looked like a pakoda and too crunchy and big pieces. Too oily as well. The lamb botti masala is basic, the pieces were undercooked and extremely chewy! I ordered dal and jeera rice as well, There is much jeera than rice and it’s too oily. I don’t even wanna talk about daal. It’s the worst possible way anyone could ever prepare. Disappointing!!

  *1/5 stars - Disappointing Experience at Tajmahal Phoenix Arizona 😡* I'm writing this review to warn others about the terrible service and mediocre food at Tajmahal Phoenix Arizona. We tried the Daal Fry and Navratan Korma, which were just okay - nothing to write home about. The flavors were bland and uninspired, and the portion sizes were small for the price. But the real kicker was the chapati - it was as hard as armor! 😳 Like, who serves rock-hard chapatis? Not something you'd expect from an Indian restaurant. The worst part, though, was the staff's attitude. They seemed completely uninterested in serving us. But the cherry on top was when they were mocking and laughing at customers (we overheard them giggling in the back). Not exactly what you want to experience when you're trying to enjoy a meal out with your family, especially when you have kids 🍼👶. All in all, the food was mediocre, the chapati was inedible, and the service was atrocious. Would NOT recommend Tajmahal Phoenix Arizona until they work on their food quality AND staff training. Has anyone else had a similar experience? 😕
