My boyfriend and I were heading to self-checkout when Nick intervened and instructed an employee to force us onto a regular register instead. There was no reason given, and it was extremely obvious we were being singled out. The interaction felt like racial profiling and was embarrassing and inappropriate. We were doing nothing wrong, yet were treated as suspicious for no reason. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and makes customers feel unsafe and unwelcome. Management needs better training on bias and respectful customer treatment. I will not be returning to this location unless this is addressed.
