Fresh off a trip back from my home in Sicily (Provincia di Palermo), I had a serious craving to make authentic cannoli. I called Rinaldi's ahead of time specifically to see if they sold empty cannoli shells and fresh ricotta. I was told over the phone that they had both, so I made the drive down. When I arrived and asked to purchase the items, the staff suddenly backtracked, telling me they couldn't sell me the empty shells or the fresh ricotta and that I would have to speak to the owner. In Italy, navigating a little formality with the proprietor is completely normal, so I was actually pleased to walk over and introduce myself to a man named John, expecting a traditional exchange. Unfortunately, that is where any trace of Italian hospitality ended. Not only did John flat-out refuse to sell me the items, but his entire demeanor was thoroughly unwelcoming. I’m honestly not sure how someone runs an "Italian deli" while refusing to sell the most basic culinary staples. He dismissively told me that he "mostly just sells sandwiches." If you can't buy fresh ricotta or cannoli shells at a supposed Italian deli, what exactly is the difference between this place and a Subway or a Quiznos? As an Italian who takes pride in our food culture, I left incredibly confused and deeply disappointed. Save yourself the trip if you are looking for a genuine ITALIAN deli experience.

I’m from Jersey so I was excited when I first found the place. The service is fast so it was nice during work lunch. The sandwiches are decent but nothing to write home about. I miss the Italian hospitality on the east coast. The owner is as decent as the sandwiches. Get the #14 from Jimmy John’s instead

Authentic Italian deli. We had a turkey and a pastrami sandwich. Both excellent. I think the turkey was the best I’ve ever had. High quality meat and soft bread. Fast, friendly service. 100% recommend!

My husband and I came here to grab a quick lunch today while we were out furniture shopping, and I am so glad we did! We split a pastrami sandwich and it was delicious! I loved the vibes of the place, and the gentleman taking the orders made it so lighthearted and fun! I highly recommend stopping to eat here instead of some boring, sterile chain sandwich spot. We will be back :)

I don't know how this place has so many reviews but the workers attitude was disgusting. The food is disgusting. The service is disgusting. They are rude they look down on you, also got mad why we did request the sandwich to be toasted as per them we suppose to tell me, since everywhere we go they ask us but here its an insult if you even talk with them. I don't even know what to say. To be honest you should be ashamed. EDIT: Not a DD i was there yesterday with my husband precisely the order was mortadella sandwich and if you treat like this as an owner the customers you need to educate yourself or better just don't do this job because this is not what manager do. Shame on you disgrace for the hospitality industry, FYI i do your job and this is not how we do things with this attitude and response towards customers it will be short time and you will close the store that is all i can say.
