Situated in the brand new luxury wing at Scottsdale Fashion Square, Nobu Scottsdale brings with it all the culinary distinction and meticulously crafted classics that have garnered critical acclaim for over two decades. Relish perfectly prepared Black Cod, Yellowtail Jalapeno and New Style Sashimi beneath our 15 foot skylight.
We chose the chef’s choice customized menu, expecting a more personalized experience given that it is the most expensive option on the menu. The food was flavorful, and I do appreciate that they accommodate dietary preferences, including vegan.
The experience did not feel especially customized. They asked many questions about preferences. We said we were adventurous and open to anything, but the dishes felt pretty standard and very similar to the less expensive fixed tasting menu. One course was a huge plate of cauliflower with sauce, which felt more oversized than creative. They did not include dessert in the chef's tasting, but did in the less expensive tasting menu.
Service also did not match the price point. Our wine was only poured once, and the table was not kept clean during the meal.
Overall, the food had good flavor, but for the cost, the experience did not feel as special, polished, or customized as expected.

Nobu always impresses! Daughter and I stopped for dinner while visiting Scottsdale. We ordered our favourite from other Nobu’s, the rock shrimp tempura. We tried a few new dishes as well. All were delicious. Service was excellent. They quickly made space for my granddaughter’s stroller and welcomed us with a 4 month old onto the patio.

Brunch at Nobu Scottsdale on a Sunday, sitting outside, is exactly how you want to do it. The patio vibe is relaxed but still polished — perfect Arizona sunshine without feeling rushed.
The steak and eggs were spot on: perfectly cooked steak, rich yolk, and that subtle Nobu edge that makes it feel elevated rather than heavy. The chicken and waffles hit the sweet-savory balance — crisp, juicy chicken with just enough sweetness to keep it interesting without going overboard. And the banana French toast? Easily the standout if you like a sweeter brunch finish — soft, flavorful, and indulgent without being cloying.
Service was sharp and attentive without hovering. Food came out on time, drinks stayed filled, and the whole experience felt seamless.
Bottom line: great service, genuinely tasty food, and a patio brunch worth repeating.

I was in town for a bachelorette with a group of 5 ladies. The bride really wanted to try Nobu but didn’t realize that they were going to be less accommodating with allergies. One person in our party has severe allergies to nuts and shellfish but we didn’t have any problems at any other restaurants during the entire trip.
Of course, legally, we know you cannot guarantee that there won’t be cross-contamination but the way the waitress came off was very rude and lacked empathy. Our friend felt so uncomfortable that she cancelled her drink and left to eat alone at the Johnny Rocket in the mall.
After that interaction, the mood definitely shifted. The hostess came over to apologize but it was such a sad way to end our trip.
Our friend came back before dessert and, despite the cold warnings, the waitress had the nerve to bring her a plate for dessert.
Upon reviewing the itemized receipt after the trip, they charged us for our friend’s drink even though we cancelled it and she didn’t dine with us.
The food was good and the restaurant was beautiful but, unfortunately, our entire trip ended on a sour note because of this experience.
If you have an allergy, try Johnny Rocket or Three Thirty Three.
