  It was our first time there, and everything was wonderful. The service was excellent, the food was amazing, and our waitress, Alexa, was incredibly sweet and made the experience even better. We’ll definitely be back!

  We stopped by La Concina for happy hour and to get a small bite for a late lunch. The bar is amazing with 27 seats. We had salsa with queso. The watermelon margarita was delicious. Refreshing, lite and not to sweet. The server was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. We would definitely come back to experience a meal.

  After 3 previous attempts (confirmed on Open Table but "sorry, we're fully booked" upon arrival) we finally ate here. Big party, several with food allergies but the waiter made every effort to confirm things with the kitchen - very efficiently. Not overly busy but the food was disappointing. Based upon friends' comments and praise, dinner didn't live up to expectations.

  Love this local Mexican spot. I believe they do not cook with seed oils which is hard to find when it comes to Mexican food. Flavors are amazing in every meal I’ve had, especially enchiladas and fajitas.

  After a great morning of pickleball, friends brought us here for lunch this last Saturday. We sat outside, and I’ll start with the positives: the weather was perfect, the patio is beautiful, and the bar area offers a great view of the mountains. The setting itself is very enjoyable. Unfortunately, the food and service did not match the atmosphere. Shortly after we arrived, chips and salsa were brought to the table, but there were no place settings—no napkins, no silverware. When I needed to wipe my mouth, there was nothing on the table, and I had to go inside to retrieve napkins and utensils myself. I ordered a ground beef taco, and after one bite the flour tortilla completely fell apart. At that point, it stopped being a taco and became something I had to eat with a fork. The filling was sparse, the ground beef was soggy, and overall the flavor was underwhelming. The rice was bland and clumpy rather than light and fluffy. The beans were fine, but nothing stood out. Service was inconsistent. Our server, Abbey, did not proactively refill water—we had to ask. When French fries were served with a cheeseburger, no ketchup was brought, and after asking, we ultimately had to go get it ourselves. At one point, when my girlfriend went inside to retrieve the ketchup, she noticed our server texting on her phone rather than attending to guests. I’ve also noticed several similar reviews over the past three months, many describing the same issues—particularly with the rice and overall food quality and service—so this does not appear to be an isolated experience. Living in North Scottsdale, there are many strong dining options. With better food execution and more attentive service, this place could live up to its excellent location—but for now, I’d encourage exploring other nearby choices.
