I’m a small town, Queen Creek girlie. This place was pretty, busy, great food but the table they sat us at was absolutely tiny, and our server didn’t pay much attention to us… probably because we weren’t dressed to fit in in Scottsdale. It was fine. We were just snacking - we got the eggplant dip and the calamari. The eggplant dip was awesome but apparently I’m still allergic to eggplant. The calamari was mid. I’d eat there again but on a weekday night!! Or maybe weekday lunch. Def make reservations in advance for dinner.

I really wanted to love this place but I came in last week, sat at the bar, was asked for a card to start my tab, and paid through inkind. I now have three additional charges on my card beyond my one bill (about $100). I called the next day and was directed to send an email. I’ve sent multiple emails and multiple calls with no response or help. I’m really bummed because I just moved here and wanted to find a new spot and I was really enjoying myself there and would have returned until this.
REPLY TO ÉLEPHANTE: Look at my screenshots. I’ve emailed 4 times. Now I’m being asked to call after I’ve also called multiple times. This is ridiculous. I shouldn’t have to be calling and emailing and leaving a bad review so much for this to get resolved.

Overrated!!! We were early for our reservation and were asked by the hostess to sit on a bench in the lobby, instead of directing us to the bar. Once we arrived at the bar, there was no service. We had to flag down the bartender to order our cocktails, while we waited for our friends to arrive. Once they arrived, there was no service, they watched us have our cocktails??? Once we were seated for dinner , the service was average. The red wine glasses were cheap, like ones from a pizza place. Overall, our entrees/tapas were average, the Hamachi Carpaccio was excellent, but the overall experience is not worth a return.

Food is getting two stars simply for the pasta being delightful. That said, that’s where the praise ends.
For starters, the restaurant is dark and loud. We were seated next to the bar, and the bar was full of drunks crowded around their chairs and bumping into us all night.
The octopus was overcooked, rubbery, sparse. Certainly not $30 worth in quality or quantity.
I had the ragu, which was a massive disappointment. The sauce was devoid of all flavor except salt and fennel. I assume there were other spices used, but they did not make an appearance that night. The pasta itself was good, however, and saved the meal from me complaining then and there about the low quality of the experience overall.
This is clearly a nice restaurant for people who have never been to a nice restaurant. Shame on me coming from San Francisco expecting to find good Italian food in the middle of the dessert.

If someone asked me right now. What’s the best restaurant in Arizona? My answer would be Elephanté. My wife and I came here for Valentine’s day and every expectation was met and exceeded. From the moment we walked in the hostess met us with a smile and was quick to address us. While waiting to be seated we noticed the little love letter mailbox area which i thought was a brilliant touch.
We sat outside, it was a beautiful night. We started with a couple drinks recommended by the waitress, who was very knowledgeable on the menu as well as very friendly, attentive and accommodating, and her recommendations were delicious. For food we had calamari for the appetizer. It tasted so fresh. It was tender and hot and the sauce was actually insane. For the main I ordered the vodka pasta, my wife ordered the truffle pasta, and we shared the pork. Wow, the vodka pasta was the best pasta i’ve ever had in my life, i would order it as my last meal no lie. The truffle pasta was solid, but not my style personally, my wife loved it though so if you really like truffle you’d love it. The pork is not like any pork you’ve ever had. It’s insanely tender and has a sweet zesty flavor. You’ve never had pork this moist while maintaining a beautiful crust, cooked similarly to a steak… it was devoured. Our meal was completed with some champagne and chocolate covered strawberries, which looked like something out of Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory. The strawberry’s looked like they were grown in Gods garden. Perfectly red and large in a delicious chocolate. They also brought us a special desert because I had mentioned it was our first V day as a married couple. Just over delivering on every turn. There is a reason this place is spoken so highly of. They have everything so dialed and they don’t let anything slip. No restaurant is perfect but this is as close as you can get. I made a video of our experience that I’m posting on TikTok @acehoodcleaning because you deserve to see how good the food looks.
This is the type of restaurant I wish I owned myself because it’s just that good. Don’t want to seem like I’m just glazing the place but I can genuinely say that it is the best experience I've had of any restaurant in AZ. Which is why I stand by initial comment that this is the best restaurant in Arizona
