Booked through OpenTable, we were seated in what felt like the entryway, the music was much louder than expected and the service was not great. We didn’t see our waitress very often and were left waiting up to 15-25 minutes for a drink once it was ordered. The food was not something we will remember or recommend - the rice cake appetizer and bluefin nigiri were good, the hellfire and surf and turf roll were not. The tablesixe waygu was good, not great. Also not a big deal, but it was mentioned that it was our anniversary and nothing was mentioned or noted - this isn’t affecting my rating but is definitely something you can expect at places like Uchi, Steak 44, Oceans 44, Obon etc.

I am writing this with a heavy heart because while the food and our server were exceptional, the management’s lack of respect for our time completely overshadowed my birthday celebration. We arrived for a 7:45 PM reservation with our 7 month old son, specifically timing his 1.5-hour sleep window so we could enjoy a rare dinner out with out-of-town guests. He was asleep exactly as planned throughout the entire 45-minute delay we endured. We were told five separate times that our table would be ready in 'five minutes,' yet we watched at least 20 guests who arrived after us get seated immediately. By the time we were finally seated at 8:30 PM, my son woke up. What should have been a relaxed birthday dinner turned into a stressful 'tag-team' shuffle between my wife and me just to manage his routine. The 1-star rating I am leaving is a reflection of the management, not the staff. Our waiter was a 5/5 star professional who deserves a raise and paid time off for how he handled the situation. The chefs also did a phenomenal job; the food was delicious. While we are thankful the team eventually complimented our appetizers and dessert, free food simply cannot compensate for the disrespect of our time and the disruption of our child’s schedule. When I brought these concerns to the manager, the response was a dismissive, 'Well, we are a popular restaurant.' Being popular is no excuse for poor communication or a total lack of empathy for a guest’s situation. We made sure to tell our server how much we appreciated him, as he and the kitchen staff were the only reason we enjoyed any portion of the night

Catch is a stunning restaurant with beautiful décor and an upscale ambiance that makes for a great dining atmosphere. The space itself is impressive and thoughtfully designed. The hostess, while not overly warm, was professional and handled their role efficiently. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made a point to share the specials, which we appreciated. The food and drinks were both very good in quality and presentation. However, it’s worth noting that the portions, both cocktails and entrées, are on the smaller side. While we don’t mind paying premium prices for an elevated dining experience, the value may feel limited given the portion sizes. Overall, Catch delivers on flavor and atmosphere, but guests should be prepared for higher pricing and modest portions.

We had a nice dinner overall, and the food was good and the service was pleasant, but there were several operational issues that made the experience feel disorganized. While being seated, a waitress nearly ran into us, it felt like there wasn’t much situational awareness on the floor. Throughout the meal there seemed to be a disconnect between the kitchen and the service staff. Our server attempted to bring us a Caesar salad twice, and we were asked how our sticky rice was before it had even arrived. The biggest issue was my entrée: I ordered a ribeye and was served a New York strip. The staff did offer to remake it, which I appreciated, but we were pressed for time and couldn’t wait. It was surprising that the kitchen mixed up two very different cuts of beef. The overall flow of the waitstaff felt… chaotic. Everyone seemed to be rushing without a clear rhythm or coordination, which created a stressful energy in what should have been a relaxed dining environment. It wasn’t a bad dinner, but the repeated missteps added up and the experience didn’t meet expectations. Hopefully this is just a training or management issue that improves over time.

This experience was amazing! If you haven't tried it, I would HIGHLY recommend you stop procrastinating. I have to extend a well-deserved thank you to Chef Michael Oates, as well as Chef Sia for pulling out all the stops to ensure we had an overall experience we won't soon forget. And thank you to Dana, as well, for the excellent service. As well as the rest of the staff and management who came by for table touches or to assist us. The food was incredible. The flavor profiles were unlike anything you'll find anywhere else in the valley. I would list everything we tried, but as you will see from the pictures we tried many things. But then, that's the point of the restaurant. Portions that are small enough to be satisfying, while still allowing you the freedom and appetite space to explore. We had the Miso Glazed Sea Bass and the Ribeye as our entrees, but although they definitely did not disappoint, we had to take much of them home to leave room for dessert. Just know when you look at the pictures, the food tastes even better than it looks! We will definitely return. This may have already become a favorite dinner spot for us! So what are you doing? Stop reading this and salivating over the pictures, and go try it for yourself!! You won't regret that you did!
