My wife and I came for a date night and had an incredible experience at Catch Scottsdale! The moment you walk in, the décor is old school meets modern with a very high end taste. It’s the kind of atmosphere that you’ll want if you want an upscale dining experience.
The sushi was outstanding, particularly the sashimi and nigiri rolls which are comparable to the best sushi restaurant in Scottsdale. I also tried the steak which I recommend if you’re wanting a surf and turf type of experience. The cocktails were another highlight: creative, balanced, and crafted with real attention to detail.
On top of all that, the service was exceptional.
Highly recommend Catch Scottsdale for anyone looking for great food, amazing drinks, and a great setting!

Horrific experience at this restaurant. We had been so excited for the Scottsdale location to open as we have dined at Catch in Vegas and LA numerous occasions and the level of service and hospitality at this location is a huge disappointment and in no way comparable.
Took over 40 minutes to be seated and were continually told by the host team our table would be ready shortly. I asked to speak to a manager and a Tweed came and said there’s nothing she can do and offered me an appetizer on the house once we were seated. I almost laughed I didn’t want an appetizer I can afford my own appetizer, I had invited very important clients of mine to this dinner. Once I declined said appetizer, manager Tweed remarked “Well sorry can’t help ya” shrugged and turned her back on me and walked away. The most blatant level of disrespect I’ve ever encountered in any dining experience in my life. Had I not had clients in town we would’ve left immediately. Overall it was embarrassing for myself as I had invited these clients out as a gesture of their arrival to Scottsdale and they’d be meeting with our execs the following day to close a deal and this was a terrible way to set the tone for our meeting.
Level of service was shotty throughout the rest of the evening, though the server was friendly dishes came out Willy nilly one salad arriving long before the other.
Truly a huge disappointment and we will never return to catch Scottsdale. We will never recommend. And we likely will never return to other catch locations if this is the type of management this company currently is employing at their venues.

My husband and I had an exceptional experience from the moment we arrived. Molly, our server, provided thoughtful guidance through each dish, making the evening feel effortless and well-curated. Lalo, our busser, showed outstanding attention to detail from the start, from the beautifully presented fruit plate with the water service to ensuring everything flowed seamlessly throughout the meal. The atmosphere was elegant and inviting, setting the tone for a refined dining experience. Every dish was beautifully executed, full of flavor, and the shaved ice dessert was a perfect finish. Truly outstanding elevated dining and we look forward to returning.

We were really looking forward to dining at Catch after hearing so much about it and visiting from Sydney, Australia. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t meet expectations.
Despite booking a month in advance, we were seated 45 minutes after our reservation time. Our party of six was then shown to a table that clearly only fit five. When we asked to be moved, the hostess responded as though the request was an inconvenience. We eventually spoke with the GM, who helped resolve the issue, but did so without much interest or any apology.
The food was hit or miss. The appetizers were great, but my mains were disappointing - the signature Surf and Turf sushi roll lacked flavour (could only taste wagyu and mayo), and the lobster fried rice was overly salty as the Chinese sausage overpowered the other ingredients, so I didn’t finish either.
Given the price point, the overall experience didn’t live up to what we were expecting.

Since our kids were all out of state this year, my wife and I decided to dine out this year for Christmas dinner and picked Catch based on reviews we had read. Unfortunately it was a bit disappointing. First when we walked into the restaurant it was freezing. When we got out of the car my wife almost left her jacket since it was a mild evening. Bringing it in was a good idea because it was much colder inside than out. We reserved a spot at the bar and while it is a beautiful space the bar felt somewhat disconnected from the rest of the restaurant. Our reservation was at 5:45, which is early but the restaurant was already humming and seemed mostly full. Which is why when my wife went to the restroom and found that none of the soap dispensers had soap. We alerted a manager who said that would be remedied right away but that is concerning for any restaurant let alone a finer dining establishment. I will say our server was excellent. She was very friendly but it seemed she was the only one working the bar area and it did take some time to get cocktails. When we were ready for a second round we ordered from the manager since we hadn’t see our server in a while. We ordered the sashimi pizza, spinach salad, mushroom ragout spaghetti and the branzino with creamy basmati. My wife is mostly vegetarian but she does eat some fish so we asked to bring the sashimi as an app and then bring everything else out together as dinner as my wife would mainly eat the pasta, I’d eat the branzino and we’d share the salad. The sashimi pizza came won’t first and was excellent. The fish melted in your mouth and the truffle tomato sauce didn’t over power the delicate flavor of the fish. Once we finished that my wife’s pasta showed up with the salad but no branzino. After a minute I asked if it was coming as we had asked for everything to come together. The server said she forgot and said she’d fire it right away but it would take about 8 minutes. In the meantime we tried the spaghetti, which basically looked like spaghetti in a cream sauce. For something labeled as “mushroom ragout” there was certainly no ragout present. Now maybe it’s the chef’s interpretation but if you google pasta with mushroom ragout 100% of the images will show pasta with a mushroom sauce with mushrooms visible. By definition a ragout is like a stew so it was surprising to not see any mushrooms. It did taste like truffle and maybe some sherry but it wasn’t a ragout. The salad was fine, and it did have dried shiitakes which we picked out and added to the pasta — presto, now it’s almost a ragout! The salad also said to have had artichokes but they were so finely sliced it looked like shredded pieces of Parmesan cheese and the dressing was a little overpowering in the truffle department. When the branzino did come out it was delicious. The fish was perfectly cooked and the basmati, which one would have thought is risotto if the menu didn’t say basmati, was also delicious. Neither were shy on butter but that’s what restaurants do and if I ever go back I wouldn’t hesitate to get the sashimi pizza and the branzino. But there’s the rub. With so many restaurants to chose from the experience just wasn’t enough for me to want to come back, at least not on my dime. Which is too bad because I was so looking forward to it but it just didn’t live up to the expectations.
