While eating, I found a bone inside one of the nuggets. Nuggets are processed, deboned meat, so this is a food safety issue, not a preference issue. When I first called the restaurant, a female employee answered and immediately told me this had “never happened” in the two years she had worked there and suggested that what I was describing wasn’t real. She repeatedly tried to get me to come back into the store with the food and bone so they could replace the meal. I explained clearly that this was not about free food or a replacement. My concern was safety. If this had happened to a small child, they could have choked or been seriously injured. I asked about an investigation, not compensation. I later communicated with the store manager multiple times via text and was told that an investigation would be pursued. I provided all of my contact information: phone number, email address, and home address. Despite this, no one ever followed up or contacted me with any information about what was done. Because I was not getting any response or seeing any action taken, I went as far as calling Chick-fil-A’s corporate 1-800 number to report the issue. Even after escalating it beyond the store, nothing happened. No follow-up. No explanation. No indication that this was treated as a food safety concern. What bothered me more than finding the bone was the dismissive response and complete lack of accountability afterward. From the beginning, the situation was downplayed as if it “wasn’t real,” and at no point did anyone show concern about preventing this from happening again. I’m posting this so people are aware and because a situation involving a foreign object in processed food should be taken seriously. Photos included.
