- CMCharles MorganApr 2, 20263.0I had a frustrating checkout experience recently. The price on an item was incorrect, so I tried to get help. A very tall employee walked right by me, and when I politely said “excuse me,” he completely ignored me. Another staff member saw me from a distance. I waved to get his attention, and he waved back. I called out loudly asking for help, but instead of coming over himself, he just told the tall employee (who had already ignored me) that I needed assistance. The tall employee replied, “I know,” but still didn’t come over. It felt like I was being deliberately overlooked, which was disappointing and made me feel disrespected as a customer. He obviously heard me but instead of saying “just a moment” or say anything, he chose to ignore me and pretend I am not even there. Thankfully, a younger employee eventually came over. He was very friendly, professional, and quickly helped fix the pricing issue for me. Overall, the service started off terribly, but the helpful young employee turned it around. I hope management looks into improving the responsiveness of the rest of the team and maybe teach them how to properly greet people.
