  We ordered our food to go and it took an hour and a half to get it. When I got home, the food was cold, the cheese on the tacos was burnt, and I was missing items. I had asked for all the veggies on the side and they didn’t give me anything, but they still charged me for the food I didn’t get. I tried calling to let them know, but no one answered. WORST SERVICE EVER

  I’ve been a loyal customer of The Taco Spot, but my last visit was extremely disappointing. My husband and I were served raw shrimp in our burritos, which is a serious food safety issue. The staff at the restaurant were kind, but corporate is petty and greedy. If you got home and were served raw food would you continue to eat anything from that meal? Absolutely not. After being told by a manager we could get a replacement meal the next day when we got there “corporate” only authorized a partial replacement. This was extremely disappointing. Especially since we paid for a whole meal that was wasted due to the raw shrimp. Even worse, I emailed corporate directly after the incident and never received any response. Serving raw seafood is a serious health issue, and the lack of accountability or follow-up shows a complete disregard for customer safety and satisfaction. It’s really unfortunate. We’ve always loved this place but this experience and lack of accountability have made us lose trust in the brand and will never be returning. 5 stars for their staff IN the establishment. They are all so kind and sweet. Corporates service- ew!

  Was excited to try the new local taco spot! I got the el pastor on their recommendation and I was NOT disappointed. I also tried the carne asada and birria taco. I was happy with my food! Birria is a bit plain and the consume is a bit on the watery side, regardless we enjoyed- just want to set proper expectations. Rice and beans were also solid. I had no idea about the neighbor who is conjoined so ill be excited to try them and Ill also be back to the taco spot soon, still wanna try some nachos and when it gets colder maybe the birria ramen! Prices are up there but... whose aren't these days.

  I know Mexican food and can definitely say this is legit!! Although certain menu options are a bit pricey but for the most part, prices seem pretty fair & affordable. My daughter got the kids platter which came with one small taco, fries, the option of a fountain drink or agua fresca and a churro. That was generous amount of food for the price. My son got a fountain drink, a side of fries and one corn quesadilla with just cheese, a bit over-price for just 2 corn tortillas & cheese if you ask me but he liked it and that’s all that matters. The fries are really delicious, definitely not your typical McDonalds fries, and yes my kids compared. Lol! I got the birria tacos combo; came with 3 big tacos, consomé & a drink (fountain or agua fresca). Consomé was very flavorful & tacos were legit! Flavorful and meat amount was very generous. They have red & green salsa, I can vouch they’re both very legit & delicious, not watery & flavorless like most places. The red one is spicier. On this particular day, they had agua fresca de melón which was exquisite! Went for lunch on a Wednesday after school and it wasn’t busy at all. Service was quick & friendly. Trying the birria-ramen next time. So glad we finally get something more legit in the neighborhood. Definitely recommend.

  We went for dinner tonight and service was horrible. We ordered a combo of 3 birria tacos, combo with birria ramen and 2 tacos and a kids combo chicken taco. My order came out first, then 5-7 mins later my husband’s order. We then wait about 10-15 mins because we are still missing a kids combo meal, my husband goes up to the front and was assured it was being worked on. We wait about another 15 mins and I go up to the front. I was assured they were working on the kids combo and that it was top priority. I then wait again 10 mins and go up to the front. The cashier says that the kitchen was having some issues, however I see that all the families around us were getting their orders. I was refunded the kids meal and a few mins later the kids combo was given to us. The wait time for a kids combo was ridiculous, service was slow and it seemed like they were getting various orders wrong. Definitely do not recommend this location.
