While my wife and I were discussing what she wanted to order next, the bartender abruptly interrupted us and said, “I can hear you.” It was unnecessary and came across as rude, especially since she misunderstood what we were even talking about. She then went on to explain how busy she was and how many tables she was handling. We came in to enjoy a relaxed evening, not to be interrupted or made to feel like a burden. The interaction left a very poor impression.
