  This has to have the absolute worst deli section of all the Safeway’s in the valley. What happened to the tuna what happened to that fire pasta? It’s all rabbit food and cabbage looking stuff now. I was forced to buy some chicken salad sandwich sandwiches with a nice surprise.

  Service Deli worst in the state. And it was great thru 2025. Now, I have been in there 4x the last 2 weeks, hot case out, that hot Island with turkey legs out. Various times: 11am. 4pm. 115pm. And 6pm. Worst ever. Nit sure what changed but it is the worst now.

  I shop at this location frequently because it’s convenient, but unfortunately the overall experience has been consistently disappointing. I understand that issues with aggressive transients in the area may not be entirely within Safeway’s control, but there does not seem to be much effort made to deter or address the problem. I often do not feel safe in the parking lot, and that alone makes routine grocery trips stressful. The store also only keeps one set of doors open. I’m not sure if that’s due to a damaged door or an attempt at loss prevention, but it creates congestion and doesn’t appear to solve anything — people openly walk out with unpaid merchandise regularly. If it’s meant as a theft deterrent, it doesn’t seem to be effective. On a recent visit, I was closely and aggressively monitored at self-checkout while purchasing about $3 worth of produce, which felt unnecessary and uncomfortable. At the same time, I’ve witnessed obvious theft go unchecked, which makes the scrutiny toward paying customers even more frustrating. I also overheard curbside employees stating that they don’t care if they block customers while collecting online orders because it’s “their problem.” That kind of attitude is concerning. While there are a few great employees, many interactions feel disengaged or unprofessional. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve gone through a checkout lane without even being greeted. Most recently, I had to ask a cashier to sanitize their hands after coughing directly into their hands and continuing to handle groceries, which made me uncomfortable. It seems like nearly every visit comes with a new negative experience. Based on the number of similar complaints, I’m not confident this feedback will lead to meaningful change, but I hope it at least gives other customers an honest idea of what to expect.

  Best produce out of all the stores near me! Always clean and ok customer service definitely nothing fantastic but I will take good produce and cleanliness over a happy cashier
