Came here for my wife's birthday. I've driven by it thousands of times and have heard only good things but have never eaten here before. I am not a fan of fish so I went with the Fliet Oscar, and boy was I impressed! The amount of crab given with the steak was generous and the wine cream sauce really added a level of depth to a nice cut I've not experienced before. Paired with a nice old fashioned, I left pleasantly surprised after arriving skeptical I'd find something I liked.

I had to change my review. Ive been coming here for well over ten years they always made sure you are happy take care of you. I order the same thing everytime. They have new bartenders and I believe management. They will no longer do ala cart shrimp for some reason. This place used to go above and beyond. Not the case anymore and I drive an hour and a half to get here.

My favorite spot for cajun food.just pulling up an seeing the pappadeauxs sign makes me smile as I'm walking up the steps I smell the great dishes being made an enjoying the nice water fountain on the way in don't forget to say hello to the alligator.when you enter you'll be greeted by a charming host to seat you.i like sitting at the wide open bar so I can look out amongst the restaurant watching everyone enjoying this fantastic place .I like the seafood gumbo an house salad, the mixed seafood grill skewers.an the Mississippi opealousas blackened cat fish is my go to entree before a shrimp cocktail or Texas gulf huge oysters.you gotta try this place I'm here every week.. trying a different dish every week..

We have eaten here 2 dozen times easily. Today the wife got the pasta dish with fried octopus and I chose bacon wrapped shrimp over dirty rice. Her octopus was way overcooked and as tough as a piece of tire rubber. My bacon wrapped shrimp was incredibly salty. I removed all of the bacon and it was tolerable after that. Overall for $105 it was very disappointing. The server Marshall was very good. He offered to bring some shrimp instead of the octopus but she declined. We will give Papa a rest.

Before being seated every staff member asked if it was a special occasion. I said yes it's my son's 41st birthday. We ordered our drinks & I told my server I'd pay the bill. She said ok. We ordered. It was very disappointing that there was no alligator on the menu (only bites & no creole sauce). They were unsatisfying to say the least. We ordered our entrees. His was the shrimp po boy & mine the seafood & veg skewer. His was 80% bread & he didn't eat a single bite. Mine was overpriced & miniscule. What's worse? The salmon slices were RAW! When I brought it to our server's attention she told me chef's prefer fish medium rare, as if I were a rube. If I wanted sushi I would have gone to a sushi restaurant! My stomach turned & I couldn't eat another bite. Asked for a to go box, dont know why, as soon as we got home we put everything in the disposal. $150 lunch (not including tip) that neither of us could eat. Final blow. When she brought the bill my son whipped out his credit card & she REACHED OVER ME TO TAKE IT! I was fuming. Why ask if it was an occasion, no one even said happy birthday?
