Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Many customers reported poor customer service, including order mistakes and unprofessional behavior from staff.

The food was great on a mid-Sunday afternoon 5 weeks ago on my 1st visit to the new place, with the nice blond colored french fries cooked, steamy & crispy in clean oil.
When I went back to show the wife what I had found a week ago, around the same time, what a let down.
Got a cold burger (whataburger double meat by the way that should retain plenty of heat!) and the brown colored French fries were like eating cold, over cooked & hard cigarette butt's.
When I went back up to the counter to
atleast get an exchange on the fries everybody kinda played the dumb card as to what I received and when the fryer oil gets changed or maintained?
Also worth knowing, the only difference in the replacement fries is that they were the same as the 1st only warmer and I never put a cold & wet tomato slice on any burger to zap it's warmth.
I would like to give this place another try, just not sure if the grand opening honeymoon over with this place and they just don't care anymore?
In the meantime maybe corporate from Texas can step in and sort things out for the better and when I get another $15 that I can afford to lose I'll try them again?
