I ordered a spring rolls and a pork abodo plate. The pork abodo was okay. The spring rolls were very small, but plentiful, and unfortunately hard, crunchy and not that good... more fried skin than filling. I like them larger, less of them and more filling.

I am not familiar with Filipino food, so I won't comment on that. What I will comment on is the absolutely terrible service. "Slow" is an understatement. "Forgotten" seems more appropriate. Forty minutes after being seated, we still had not received our drinks nor appetizers. In that time, our waitress had seated at least two other tables AND brought them their drinks. In the process, she passed our table at least twice, enough times to note that we had no drinks and no food. Yet she continued to serve the other tables first.
We had ordered an appetizer, but our entrees arrived first, so I told the waitress to cancel the appetizer.
Our waitress thanked us for our patience, as if they were super busy. But the fact was that she had time to chat for 5+ minutes with several tables while we sat without drinks or food. My kids were ready to walk out multiple times, and I was about to when the waitress finally came by with our drinks.
This was by far one of the worst restaurant service experiences I have had, and I dine out regularly.
Needless to say, we won't be back.

Karaoke was too loud, not for sensitive ears. Ordered Lechon Kawali and it was okay, but not very juicy nor did the pork flavor shine all that much. Pork Adobo was better, but some of it was all fat. Service was heinous. Didn't take a long time to be seated, but once seated our order was taken fairly quickly, we ordered lumpia but had to cancel it as it never arrived, took 20 minutes to recieve water and 5 minutes later we recieved our food, which was underwhelming. We were barely tended to, despite being next to a waiter workstation. Our table did not have much leg room either.

My son and I were visiting Phoenix for a family wedding and I found Tambayan while looking for a place to have lunch. The place is bright and friendly, and they even have a stage for karaoke! The owner's are very nice and welcoming and the food is very authentic! It definitely reminded me of growing up in our large Filipino family. The lechon kawali was delicious and the skin was crunchy! The dinuguan was wonderful seasoned. I wish I had more room in my tummy after this so I could order halo-halo, but I was quite full! I would definitely recommend this humble place and support these wonderful people.
