Everything from the rice to the cuts of sashimi to the nigiri is complete amateur hour. This might be acceptable to the American palate, but those people will eat anything, so their opinions have no value. It's expensive for what it is. You'd think you'd save money at an establishment without service. I wasn't really expecting much from a place like this, I just got dragged along by friends, but what an absolute travesty. It's so lazy and uninspired with a lot of obvious wasted material. Since you pick up everything up at the counter, there's only the chefs to blame. Maybe they're having an off day, I don't know, but I can absolutely never recommend this place to anyone. Stay classy "Sushi Comedy"!
