No one to help at the butcher shop, deli out of fried chicken (when it was an advertised special), no plastic bags to be found in the produce or the meat section, cashier at checkout didn't even say "hello" or attempt to be friendly. Actually seemed put out that she had to ring someone up. That's your job. What is going on with this store? We have other options for grocery stores in Ahwatukee. Trader Joe's get an A+. Safeway gets a C-.

You are running an ad for chx and I should have been able to purchase some for my potluck that was needed tomorrow. When I requested help by the employees I was told sorry its closed. So here I am at 9:25 over at Frys spending the $75.00 plus the chx instead of someone just going back to butcher to grab five pounds of chx. Buy all the rest of my food at your store. I know the other items I was buying may be more pricey than Frys, but I always defended safeway because of the small store feel and cusomer service. Tonight was a big fail for a tired teacher who needed to bring a potluck to school.

I hope they keep their cashiers and don't rid the shelves of other brands. I can't get help from the automated check out lane and Safeway brands are hit and miss. Mostly a pleasant experience.
