The lady at the self checkout that works there. Tries to scan with my digital coupon again.It doesn't work. So she goes ahead and discounts my items i also have to scan my club card too. Now think about this, if I go into safeway, and I have at least a hundred things to buy, and everything is digital coupon.That means I have to scan every item to get their digital coupon.I'm not quite understanding why we have to scan an item to get a discount? So my total comes out to ten dollars and $10.93 okay so I push pay cash. Now the lady that was helping me has already left the Register, she says she's going on break. Now the machine does not want to take my cash. So the man at the service desk says that's not working.I'll be there in a minute. He comes and starts messing with the machine.Says, oh the machine's been giving us trouble all day. Okay, If the machine's been giving you trouble why are you still running that machine?Why hasn't it been shut off for maintenance. He says he will ring me up at the other spot. So he rings me up, I said, oh, please wait,These are all digital coupons that don't work. So he wants to go ahead and try and scan as if it's gonna work for him. Yep doesn't work for him either. So now he goes and does all the ringing up, but wait nowThe price is over $12.00, i explained to him at the other register.It was only $10.93. But he wants to carry on and tell me, I owe more now.I'm extremely frustrated, my few minutes into a shopping of Safeway To pick up three items turns into at least 45 minutes of complete frustration ,and nonsense. I often think about the older generations that were used to getting coupons in a newspaper and bringing them in now.They have to go into their phone when they hardly even know how to use their phones,and these stores expect them to have their app,Scan their food that is discounted digital coupon.In order to get a sale item. I told the gentleman, you know what you can keep all of this, i'm not coming back to a safeway to shop because this is complete frustration for me.
