- MWMarc Wala2 days ago2.0Fry's experience(s) at Safeway. -Noticeable decline in friendliness of the staff (particularly self check out staff) and quality of food/soup bar. -Same tired soups day after day, rarely see the Albondigas or Cream of Jalapeño anymore.(Soup bar used to be a big draw, but Tomato, Chicken Noodle and broccoli cheddar all have comparable canned alternatives vs Albondigas adds value/is unique) -No thank you or smile from the staff- particularly evening self check out guy- all stare at me blankly - no offer to take my basket etc. (Male pharmacist however is great). Throw in the demolition derby parking lot, average quality fruit and produce not priced accordingly and it makes for a below par experience. (Note: There's not many alternatives, so this a lesser of evils destination)

Also while selecting some great seasonal candies with very nice Lisa and checked out with Nick and they gave me a great deal on candy I bought(for the kids... Lol not. Great super nice people!

He complimented my jacket and helped me in a very open and friendly way that really helped to calm my nervous system. Should have got his name, but just wanted to share some gratitude. Really helped to lighten an otherwise miserable day.
