Brian, the General Manager, was exceptional to work with and truly went above and beyond for our reservation even creating a custom menu featuring our company logo. We hosted a company dinner for a group of 13, and the service throughout the evening was excellent. From start to finish, the team helped me create the perfect menu for our winter gathering. Kate our waitress was exceptionally knowledgeable, attentive, and well-versed in every aspect of the menu. The food (every dish we had family style was AMAZING) and service were outstanding. If six stars were an option, you would absolutely deserve them.

I had an outstanding dining experience today at PYRO on Camelback. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere struck the perfect balance between stylish and welcoming — a modern Asian-American bistro with warmth, energy, and impeccable service that makes you want to settle in and enjoy the evening. I started with the Smokey Melon, and it was an immediate standout. The combination of ilegal mezcal joven, mizu barley shochu, melon soda, lemon, and melon pearls was refreshing yet complex. Lightly smoky, subtly sweet, and beautifully balanced — easily one of the most creative cocktails I’ve had in a while. The Short Rib Fried Rice was deeply comforting and packed with flavor. The richness of the short rib paired perfectly with the kimchi, negi, egg, and nori kizami. Every bite felt layered and intentional, with just the right amount of umami. The Gochujang Brussels Sprouts were a surprise favorite. Perfectly roasted with a bold, slightly sweet heat from the gochujang, balanced by roasted red pepper sauce, hearth onion, bonito, almond, and fresh mitsuba. Complex, vibrant, and addictive. The Pork Belly Skewers were beautifully cooked — tender, flavorful, and indulgent without being heavy. The yuzu-togarashi aioli added a bright citrus kick, while the house pickles cut through the richness perfectly. The Chili Garlic Noodles were pure comfort with attitude. The tonkotsu broth brought depth, the chili crunch added heat and texture, and the negi tied everything together. This dish alone is reason enough to return. To finish, the Sticky Toffee Cake was outstanding — warm, rich, and perfectly balanced by milk ice cream, whipped butterscotch, and candied pecans. A flawless ending to a memorable meal. Overall, PYRO delivers thoughtful, bold flavors with exceptional execution. The food, service, and atmosphere come together effortlessly. This is a place I’ll absolutely return to — and recommend without hesitation.

Pyro near Global Ambassador is a must visit restaurant with a truly unique and elevated menu. We did the chefs choice experience which allowed us to try some of their favorite dishes and every single one was fantastic. The interior is gorgeous, warm, and inviting which makes the dining experience even better. The food was creative and full of bold flavors. My favorite dish was the sashimi with orange and a tiny pepper that added the perfect kick of spice. Everything was beautifully presented and incredibly fresh. Pyro is an amazing spot for anyone looking for exceptional food and a memorable dining experience.

Showed up at 9:07 to get seated. The restaurant said it closes at 10pm online. We made eye contact with 4 servers (including a bartender that was tying his shoelaces with his shoes right on the bar) until a server decided to try and seat us. He came back to tell us it would be alcohol only and no food since they close at 9pm. Even though online it said 10pm. Then the server said he can “convince his manager” which we said no to because what restaurant closes 45mins before closing time unless you beg to convince the manager. Awful experience, no one wants to work and its very apparent.

Pyro was the worst meal we have had in Scottsdale. We spend 3 to 4 weeks here each winter and eat out often, so this was not a one-off fluke in an empty dining calendar. Service was friendly. That is the only positive. Everything else failed. We waited about 30 minutes for our entrees. I ordered an 8 ounce filet, medium rare. The kitchen sliced the steak in half and served it on a scorching cast iron pan. The steak continued cooking on the pan. It arrived overdone. It was dry, chewy, and flavorless - worst steak I’ve had in any restaurant. My partner ordered salmon, medium rare. It arrived overcooked and dry. The manager acknowledged the problem. I ordered chicken. The wait was long again. The chicken arrived lukewarm and undercooked in parts. The portions that were safe to eat had no seasoning. The green beans were bland. The yellowtail sashimi tasted fine until jalapeños overwhelmed it. We left most of our food on the table. Not because we are picky, but because the dishes were inedible or unpleasant. Even if the kitchen had nailed the temperatures, the food still would have failed. Every dish lacked flavor. The filet, salmon, chicken, green beans, even the parts cooked correctly had no seasoning or depth. Nothing stood out. Nothing tasted memorable. The problem was not only execution but the absence of flavor across the board. This was the most uniformly bland and under seasoned meal we have had in Scottsdale. Reviews online describe Pyro as hit or miss. Our experience supports that. This meal was a complete miss. We will not return, and recommend others look elsewhere.
