About

Restaurant
Designed by renowned architectural firm Douglas Fredrikson Architects, Lou’s dining room gives off a cool-clean, stone-and-steel feel in a wide-open space made even more airy when the massive garage-style and wall-sized sliding doors are opened to a rich green lawn and golf course, towering trees and the city below. And the rectangular bar features outdoor seating on two sides when the windows are drawn up, offering spectacular views of the setting sun gleaming off Papago Buttes.

A great place for lunch or a sunset happy hour. Beautiful views of the grounds. Take a look at all the pictures between the host station and the golf shop to see how papago was before it became the current setup

Came here on a Monday afternoon for lunch with a bunch of mom friends and our kiddos. We had spent the morning at the zoo so this was a convenient, close place to grab food. A couple of the friends I was with come here quite a bit because they can sit outside with the kids, who can run around the nice big grassy area. Anywhere with a space the kids can be loose and free is a HUGE BONUS! I called ahead and made a reservation since there was 11 of us total. They set us up at one of their fire pit areas, that were all fully in the sun. They had umbrellas around but we had to move them, and set them up ourselves. I guess they didn’t mind that we moved the umbrellas but they also didn’t help us. Service was slow and food was not very good. It’s rare I feel this way - I’m not a picky eater, I’m usually very pleased with most things. I got the fish and chips and the fish was tough. My friends said their fish tacos were really dry. I tried my daughter’s chicken fingers and they were also tough! It’s like they were using bad pieces of meat. The french fries were great. Overall, I don’t think it was worth the money.
