- DGdavid gould5 days ago1.0This is a brand new Fry's but It suffers from the same problem that all the Fry's suffer from, that is their tags don't match up with what is in their system. The label on the shelf said Hot Wheels Premium Assorted 7.99. When you scan the Hot Wheels into the system is said Hot Wheels Premium 26.95. I had bought the same exact car from another Fry's the day before and it was 7.99. When I told the manager that the item was 7.99, and showed him a picture of the actual shelf tag, he told me the UPC code doesn't match. Well genius if you look at the title of the tag it says Hot Wheels Premium Assorted. Maybe you don't have to pass an exam to critically think at Fry's, but assorted means there are lots of different ones, and they would all have a different UPC code. Regardless, then they told me he was going to go check it out, and literally never came back. The clerk sat and talked with me, and she was super kind, but after 10 minutes he never came back. And the frustrating part of that, of course, is I told him I didn't need it anyways. I was only buying it because you had one on the shelf and it said $7.99, but it wasn't important. The clerk insisted that I wait for him 10 minutes later he showed me that I'm not important although that was actually in the first couple minutes.
