This might be winded, but I've had a chaotic couple weeks. But I finally got an afternoon to myself, and I was in the area picking something up off facebook market place, and got myself a treat, and was going to enjoy wandering aimlessly around a store and enjoy my afternoon (mom's, you get it.) I never go out, going anywhere anymore is expensive. When I splurge, its usually an iced coffee. But ice cream sounded good (maybe I should have gone to the Starbucks next door) but I went through the drive through, about 6:00pm (1/29) asked for medium georgia mud fudge (its not on the menu, but its a classic if you haven't tried it - try it! Maybe not here tho. See ingredients in picture!) I asked for extra cocoa fudge, but the girl seemed very annoyed and I felt rushed cutting me off asking, "anything else" (There was a line, I was 3rd with 1 behind me.) So I get it 🤷♀️ I pull up to the window after waiting for what seemed like was a fairly large order, and the girl handed me mine, it was way lighter (vanilla, not so much chocolate) than I was hoping for. And I'm pretty sure she charged me for the extra cocoa fudge, cuz my total was $9.95 - but I dont know for sure as I didnt get a receipt.
Now - I know whats in a georgia mud fudge. I got it one day as a teenager, and its been my favorite & the only thing I get when I go to DQ , ever since. I was driving away and had a bite and there were peanuts in it. Theres no peanuts in the georgia mud fudge, so I thought this might be someone elses. So I pulled back around, went inside and the girl from the window approached and I said I think I got someone else's order because there were peanuts in it. She said "yea, thats whats in it, peanuts brownie and the fudge." And like I said - Ive been ordering this since the 2000s, & I'm fat 😆😆 so I know whats in it. So I kindly asked, really? Because every time I get it theres never peanuts in it. She, very annoyed, said "I mean I can remake it without peanuts but thats whats in it." And threw the other blizzard in a bucket. She went to remake it and I reminded, "with the extra cocoa fudge please." "Yea sure", with her back to me. The other employee handed it to her after mixed and it looked like vanilla. So I said, sorry I wanted it a darker chocolate than that. She was getting really annoyed. Made two of us - because I wasnt trying to be a Karen, genuinely. I work in healthcare, I know how people can be. I just wanted to get what I asked & paid for, and was trying to enjoy my afternoon and treat myself. I recently got a promotion, and I've been busy so to take a few hours to slow down and relax was something I was looking forward to. So anyway, I eneded up leaving with my re-made blizzard, but not quite how I expected or how I have gotten it in the past, which isn't even the real issue. It was being rushed, unwelcomed, and treated like an annoyance. Anyway - not a fan of this location. Girl was rude, & clearly doesnt wanna be there. Glad I'm not in the area often.
**DQ, dont responded with a generic response that "we hope you give us a chance in the future." ...pass.
