The apples taste like chemicals which are all thrown away with avocado you cut into their rubber they are really rubber. Don't know what happened to Safeway but I have to shop elsewhere. Do not recommend the produce or their meat their hamburger is not real.

But now the formula for jalapeño cheese bagels—by far the best and more popular bagels—have been changed to a plain bagel with a tiny bit of cheese and 3-4 slices of jalapeño on top. They used to be covered in cheese and jalapeños before baking. This cost-cutting will insure that I will not be purchasing any bagels from Safeway until they change the formula back. I am not the only one complaining about this according to the bakery staff and the manager of the store. It was a corporate decision to make an inferior product. The store itself is clean and well-stocked, but it is significantly more expensive than any other store in the area. Not a viable option for normal grocery shopping, and now not a viable option for bagels.
