Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customer experiences with service were mixed, with some praising friendly and attentive staff, while others reported issues with order accuracy and long wait times.
Food Quality
Overall, food quality received positive remarks, but there were complaints about inconsistency, cold items, and incorrect orders.
Cleanliness
Many customers noted that the restaurant was clean and well-maintained, although some mentioned issues with the dining area being messy.
Value for Money
Several reviews indicated concerns about pricing relative to food quality, with some feeling that the value was lacking.

I love Whata but this location is by far the worst with food prep, 3rd time with issues. Requested no bun oil on burger, got extra oil instead. Ordered Arnold Palmer (½ Tea ½ lemonade) for drink, was given all tea. And fries are routinely soft/wilty. Was excited to have a location in this area but their employees need more training.

Good is great never an issue but it’s a chain restaurant and the problem is never how the food tastes but inconsistent service. Don’t usually have any noteworthy problems at this location but today I was given the wrong size coffee smaller than what I ordered and after bringing it up they acknowledge yea we can fix that and continue to hand me a bag without one of my sandwiches. And then when I brought it up all but accused me of lying to the point I literally ripped open the bag so they could see and just give me what I paid for! At that point I had to wait for almost another 10 minutes for just one sandwich and when I got home my food was frickin cold! Just unreal bad service this morning and I hope it’s not the new norm for this location.
Update: when I got home I also discovered the original sandwich was wrong too! Upon going back to get the order remade I learned that person working the drive thru that helped me was also the manager, Jonathan
