I am kind of bummed about doing this review but I have to as it was not a great experience for me or my husband. We decided that we wanted Chili Dogs and would go down to Rally's. I ordered online about 6:25pm and when I was done, the system said about 6:30-6:35 pm it would be ready. I thought not a big deal it was just 3 chili dogs and a large fry. I got there and no one answered on the 2nd speaker so I waited behind the one car that was in the drive thru at the other speaker. The automated speaker system said for me to say my name then drive to the window since it was a mobile order. I did that, the cashier didn't know what I was there for and then he said the back crew told him they were making it and if I could park around to the parking lot. I went around and there were several cars there waiting also for their food. I get it, many restaurants are doing this now. It was now, 6:35 pm and we were waiting there. A worker came out and asked me if I was so and so after asking every other car what they had and I told him that wasn't my order. This happened about 6-7 more times and I had to repeat to the worker my name and my order and it was a mobile order. Finally about 7:00 pm and my husband and I were the very last car there, we got our order! Over 30 minutes after we ordered for 3 Chili Dogs and a large fry! The worker did apologize but I just wanted out of there by that time. We got to our place which was about 2 minutes away and what do you know, there is a missing chili dog and they were not that great. The taste was ok and the bottom bun was so soggy that I couldn't eat it. I ate part of my chili dog and just ate a few fries. We felt we should have just made our own chili dogs at that point or we should have went the few more miles to another place. I really don't want to go back and I know Rally's might want to make it right but I don't want to experience that place again. The last time I went, I was not that impressed but thought I would try it again. I can only speak about this restaurant at this location in particular but it really needs help and that starts with the top with the owner then down to your staff. Everyone else that was waiting there looked like they were waiting for a while before me and maybe it was just a hit with all the customers at once ad like I said I understand that, but there needs to be a system in place when that happens and to make sure the quality doesn't suffer during those times. I will not go on any further and I wish you Good luck Rally's with improving some of those things that could be better.
This location's service is genuinely terrible. Go to any other location if you can. There is one particular worker here who gives HORRIBLE customer service, and my last 3 Drive Thru mobile-order pickups have been so bad that I simply can't let myself be this negatively impacted anymore and am forcing myself to no longer eat lunch here.
My most recent experience: Mobile order, pulls up to drive-thru, informs them of order, goes to window, is handed bag of wrong food and wrong drink (gave me much more than I paid for, I only did $4 MVP meal). I tried to inform the older heavier-set latina woman (same woman who has given poor customer service every time) this is not my order, and rather than asking me for my receipt, order info, text message of order confirmation, correct location, or even what my order was supposed to be, she forced me to take someone else's food and drink and tell me IM wrong and this is what I ordered. Then as she's rushing me out of drive-thru, which she always does, I have no choice but to relinquish and leave without my order and have to eat someone else's. Then as I'm pulling away, she flags me down as NOT PAYING, as if I now have to pay for someone else's order that I didn't want. So I pulled over, went to window, worked with a STELLAR young lady who gave great customer service, and she understood the issue perfectly, and handed me my $4 meal which was sealed-in-bag behind the window this whole time...
Overall this was just the cherry on top of how rude this older latina woman has been in the past, and I'm a working City of Mesa professional employee who only comes here for lunch during the work week and shows utmost respect with every interaction. This older woman seriously needs to go. She might be good at 'operations' or 'keeping drive-thru wait times down by rushing and forcing customers to leave without everything they need', but she doesn't smile, she isn't kind, she doesn't ask clarifying questions, and it's basically the worst customer service you can get in the local area. Either of her younger employees seem like they would excellent replacements for her role (please promote from within!), but this woman has taken away multiple sales from me (potentially 3 days a week) because I truly just DO NOT want to interact with her again :/
I tried to leave review in the app but it wouldnt submit properly, so I'm finally leaving it here after my wife suggested I eat here for lunch today and I had to admit I just truly can't bring myself to interact with such terrible customer service again. I have other coworkers who have said similar things about this location, and we know exactly who the problem is.
I will genuinely start returning to this location once this is resolved. Not even 'consider' returning, but WILL return. I love your restaurant, but absolutely hate this one employee. And I hate to give 1 star as well, but for service to be So Bad that I just can't bring myself to return lately, I hope you understand the justification. I see the owner does read and respond to these, which is so beyond appreciated that I wanted to take the time to let you (the owner) know about what's happening and that it's happening to most of your customers who interact with her, certainly not just me. Thank you for taking the time to read this 🙏
