This is the second time I have ordered delivery from this location in the past two weeks, and both times, they have sent the wrong soup, wrong ingredients on the sandwich or the wrong sandwich all together. Tonight, my MIL took a bite of her sandwich and pulled out a long black hair from the middle of it. She’s now in the back yard throwing it up. We won’t be eating from this location again.

⭐⭐½ — Panera Bread (Local Visit)
Panera’s always been one of those “once every couple of weeks” stops for me — a good salad and a half sandwich, or sometimes soup and salad when you want something light and fresh.
I usually go for the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad, but this time it felt a little dry. My half sandwich looked more like a quarter — heavy on the crust, light on the filling — and the presentation just wasn’t there. It’s not about fancy plating, but when you’re paying for something “fresh-baked and crafted,” it should at least feel complete.
I went up to ask for a little extra dressing and got a bit of attitude from the woman behind the counter. I get it — she looked busy — but the “it’s already in there, sir” response while it clearly wasn’t just sums up the bigger issue.
More and more, it feels like restaurants we’ve grown up with are losing their rhythm. Whether it’s short staffing, tight budgets, or just burnout, the consistency and care are slipping. It shouldn’t take a $100 meal to feel like someone’s paying attention to the details.
Panera used to be that simple spot for soup, salads, and sandwiches done right. Lately, though, it’s starting to feel a bit more half-baked than fresh-baked.

It was easy to customize our order to accommodate my granddaughter who has food allergies. However, I ordered the Harvest Medley Chicken Salad and had to take my tray back up as there was no chicken on my salad. The guy in the back was helpful and did add chicken.

Panera is overpriced, and omg, the rules. Yes, they have the dumbest rules. Don't believe me, call the store and listen to their pre-recorded message. It's rude. Then I get an $8.00 cup of soup and ask for a Croissant to go with it. Whoops, another rule. Croissants are only for sandwiches. You can not buy a plain croissant. Seriously? Umm, you have Croissants, but you won't sell one. Great job, Panera, you suck. You can keep your overpriced food. There are plenty of other places for me to get what I want. You best be careful in this economy where restaurants are dropping out of existence.
