Fine grocery store before but they just switched to digital price tags which are extremely consumer-unfriendly.

During the week of Christmas 2025 I purchased fried chicken in the front of the store where chicken is fried/prepared for purchase from the Albertson's 85215 location around 4PM. The chicken looked fine but a day later I became very ill and I was really sick for about two weeks. I am still recovering from this experience.
The chicken did seem extra crunchy but I had never had an issue before. I wonder if the chicken was refried to get it hot or the chicken itself was bad In a addition to being refried in old grease and not handled/stored properly.
Lesson learned and I will never buy premade store bought chicken from Albertson's or any store. If I have a taste for fried chicken or otherwise, I will make myself. Be safe everyone.

Truly a crying shame. I'm having to make two of these reviews in as many days. I'm basically going to copy paste the review I already made for the other location with minor edits.
As someone who has shopped at Albertsons and Safeway for years before their merger... I'm truly and honestly disappointed in who they have decided to become. I saw news articles of them integrating AI and biometrics into stores, but it wasn't something I had seen at any of the stores I patronized.
As Fry's became more and more like Walmart (giant, cameras everywhere, ridiculous prices, staff that don't care at all) I shifted almost all of my shopping to Safeway/Albertsons and would no longer go to Fry's.
Then lo and behold, this location is starting to integrate everything I hate about modern grocery and large corporations. The real kicker, is they've adopted digital displays for pricing.
I'm morally and economically opposed to surge pricing, dynamic pricing, and overall the techflation adoption occurring in this and other industries. Check out More Perfect Union and Consumer Reports investigation on it. They have been doing it to users with pick-up and delivery services for the past 5 years and now grocery stores are networking and evaluating price sensitivity in order to MAXIMIZE price and profit. We the consumer lose.
I will never set foot in this or any other Safeway/Albertsons until they revoke these changes and make efforts to mend consumer relationships.
This is particularly disappointing as within the past 12 months I went out of my way to call and submit an official compliment to the staff and everyone at this location. That complement still stands for everyone except the management and integration team that were too spineless to push back against the Enshitificstion of consumer industries.
Safeway has become the Dangerousway, enter at your own peril.
