Then when it came to my drink she heard me wrong. Said well that's a totally different drink aggressively threw my cup in the trash. Got a new one and wrote the other drink. Also my cup was all ice I got a venti. She was totally rude and had my heart racing the whole time. Totally not how to start my morning I'll keep to the drive through and use my app. They are absolutely the best every time.

Prices seem to be lower than the national average. While this is not necessarily a reflection on the store itself as a woman of color that standing behind something secretly watching you and obviously suspicious is something I'll never get used to and shouldn't have to. Ignorance fear and hate are not natural. They are learned behaviors. Maybe I'm being overly sensitive perhaps my reaction to being secretly observed is also a learned behavior. But if you've been around as long as I have being able to read a person is a survival tool and would make anyone uncomfortable. For the most part the employees are friendly and very helpful. However it's not going to be my first choice when it comes to grocery shopping. You know when someone is watching you and it's a heavy tiring thing. Maybe I was dressed too nice, I get that a lot. As a retired professional I'm lifelong dedicated to being dressed classy and conservatively. Something my mom instilled in me. She retired as a high ranking executive of AT&T and I'm sure she had to deal with a lot worse. But at her funeral over 300 cars filled the cemetery. That all by itself gives me the strength to carry myself with dignity no matter what. The United States is a nation of colored people because we're all different colors 😋
